Paysite members - how many is good?

My wife and I started our first "from home website" http://sandrasyn.net and have our first affiliate program http://synfullmedia.com

We are by no means the tycoons of porn or industry leaders, we just wanted to make more $$ to provide for our 2 kids. We currently have a few members but nothing huge as the site is fairly new. Our question is HOW MANY MEMBERS SHOULD WE SEE TO BE DOING WELL?

also, how to get more affiliates to promote our website?

Any advice would be great, and thanks in advance!

:thumbsup

Hya,

Found some broken links while entering to your site http://sandrasyn.net/tour_a.php

"Home"(http://sandrasyn.net/index.html);
"About Me"(http://sandrasyn.net/about.php);
Also under "Videos"(http://sandrasyn.net/join.html) page which is actually a join page has got a problem with linking - All the top menu buttons (Home; About Me; Videos; Members) haven't pointed to any links.

If you want some help you could hit me up (via ICQ) when im around.

Cheers,
Sulik

There isnt any fixed number of members that tell you you are doing well. When you are making
more money than the sites updates, etc. takes then you are doing ok.
Add 1-n amount of members to that and you are doing well :)

Doing well is a perception.. Just remember that you need to reinvest in the business.

ya the broken links was me making changes yesterday, but thanks for the replies. Re-investing is happening, but obviously we need to make more funds to put a larger amount back into the business.

Thanks again for the replies!

Count the hours you & the wife put in, add them up according to your hourly rate, and add them to expenses. Not until you're making more than that is the site actually making a profit. Then try to increase that... :)

Porko: way to go man!
Hentaikid: That seems like the right answer! Of course we are way behind by that calculation...

I would say as much as possible! There are 1000s of customers on the internet so if you're only pulling a few then you're obvioiusly missing out = ).

Some here have addressed the site issues and I see some have not been addressed but Im sure they will.

As for more affiiates...being a presence on the Adult Webmaster Boards such as GFY wil get the word out of the program. Answering any thread that pertains to your niche/genre will get people looking. And posting in the announcement or "spam" forum on these boards when updates are made will also get new and potential affiliates to the site. I will say this with 100% conviction you will not sign up ANY affiliates with the price structure you have in place now. You cannot offer a $2.95 30 trial with a $9.95 rebill for 90 days and make money. The site needs to be without a trial and promoted at between the $24.95 and $29.95 per month recurring price range along with a non recurring monthly access option for $34.95.

The site issues would be priority number one if it was my site. I took a look and couldn't even get past the first tour page without error messages. Something tells me that might affect sales - lol!
Fix the site issues first, then move onto promoting it to affiliates, etc . .

HerPimp 08-29-2009 03:01 AM

NY Jester is right, I would not promote that site.
