And as tube sites settle somewhat uneasily into the landscape of Internet pornography, the industry that was once ahead of the curve in innovation finds itself, for once, waiting on the mainstream for cues.

The porn consumers who want quality video and who do not want to "steal" will still be there for ever. It will just be harder for each and every one to attract them which in the end will lead to better quality adult entertainment. Maybe this could be a good thing to weed out all the crap.

great... now the only people left with credit cards (forbes readers) will be on tubes.

Lol, and if they watched the CNBC show a couple weeks ago they got a list of tube sites too

I don't think I've heard anyone say this, but for the first time, marketers (The Tube Sites) are using porn to sell something OTHER than porn. Sure...Brazzers ads are on most of them, but it's cause they own 'em. But, for the most part, it seems they're using porn to marker dating sites, and...perhaps...after some more time it gets around that AFF (and the like) don't get people laid...well, then maybe the tube sites will implode under the weight of their bandwidth bills.

Just a thought...
