Hiya,

Wanted to hear how you all are doing with mobile sites?
What conversion rates are you seeing? I'm at 1:900 ... thought they would do better?

This is with traffic from my site that redirects mobile users.

Or is the market fading already? Or can those new phones play regular mpeg files from MGP's aswell or something.

i hover around 1:300. i don't do any redirects or whitelabels though

i was talking to my ounger brother about things yesterday regarding mobile and money he wants to get in the biz, he said, dude, my ipod and phone are filled with "free porn" no one will buy that LOL

We are 1:336 with our mobile sites today and pay more then everyone else. Its the easiest money to make right now :thumbsup

Much depends on how you are promoting it. Are you using a whitelabel? That usually increase conversions immediately.

Are you using a re-direct script and assuring that the traffic you send to it is all mobile and not "not set" or Windows traffic? (This info can be found in Google Analytics)

GA --> Pick Site --> Visitors --> Browser Capability --> Operating Systems

You should have 1-5% total mobile traffic (includes iPhone, iPod, PSP, other mobile devices)

I notice you charge quite a bit more for a monthly membership ... $39.95, that helps being able to offer $40 PPS.

Sponsor in sig has a great mobile site paying 40 PPS for those with celeb traffic.

nah i dont know about that :upsidedow i'm not in the same boat as most affiliates, my sites are more "mobile niche".

my 1:300 estimate was overall across my main sponsors. i'm usually under 1:200 with topbucks :thumbsup

Well - there are some factors which you should consider:

1. Where is the traffic coming from
2. What billing system do you use?

We have SMS billing in 25 countries and can offer billing with a single click on the users phone. In these countries we see conversion rates between 1:50 and 1:250.

For credit card billing we see conversions which are between 1:200 and 1:5000.

For instance European traffic combined with credit card billing converts not that good as Europeans are used to pay via SMS. Further credit card penetration in Europe is about 23%.

Well - as far as I know the first mobile sponsor came from Europe...just to clarify that. But anyway...it doesn't matter!

we use billingrevolution for cc processor. we dont do sms billing because the laws are very clear in the USA
