I saw that on new egg. Does it automatically make them into PDF files?

DaddyHalbucks 08-10-2009 03:29 PM

Does it work with PC, or only Mac?

Both. From what people have said, it was first written for the PC and emulated to run on the mac.

what is your reason for scanning them? if you're ever audited, part of the fun is supposed to be making the auditor have to sit there for hours looking through big black plastic bags full of crumpled receipts :1orglaugh

LOL, that's funny (and a good point)!

On another note are scanned receipts just as good as originals in the case of an audit or do people still hold onto paper?

Way3 08-10-2009 05:48 PM

Quicken Deluxe allows you scan your receipts in as well!

That?s not how it works. The auditor makes you find the receipt and if you can?t find it, they disallow the deduction. The more disorganized you appear to be, the more vigorous they are with you.

ShellyCrash 08-10-2009 06:41 PM

Right now I copy, fax and file. I need to get out of the dark ages.

Basic_man 08-10-2009 06:58 PM

I do! :thumbsup

BestXXXPorn 08-10-2009 07:06 PM

I do :) So much easier to organize!

I drop them in a receipts folder... the structure looks like:

Receipts
--Personal
----Auto
----Entertainment
----Household
----Etc...
--Business
----Advertising
----Content
----Hosting
----Office Supplies
----Etc...

you don't name files, you just shove physical receipts into a physical folder or big envelope...

d-null 08-10-2009 09:43 PM

VeriSexy 08-11-2009 05:04 AM
