For peeing or for a jellyfish sting?

For the record: urine does absolutely nothing to help with jellyfish stings.

With jellyfish stings, vinegar works best, followed by seawater. Don't use fresh water or urine, though. Note that with physalia (portuguese man of war, bluebottle, etc) stings, vinegar has the opposite effect, so in that case, use seawater.

Well.. I missed that one.

You'll get out of it, at which point you'll still have nematocysts stuck to your skin. Vinegar can deactivate them, while fresh water, alcohol and urine can trigger them. Sea water won't deactive them, but it will help rinse some of them off your skin.

That sucks!

In this case I heard Tequila helped alot with the pain.

How in the hell are you going to get a Jellyfish sting that doesnt come with seawater already on it? Is there some land-dwelling jellyfish I never heard of?

Just make sure you have some at home when you come back from a trip and you finally sober up. Those jellyfish stings hurt for days after! :helpme
