What's up with sales this August???
 

Damn! Up until the end of July I was at 1:300 1:500, etc with certain sponsors.

For this month not even a damn sale with any of them :(
And it's the same SE traffic as before!

I'm at 0:5000+ 0:3000+

Anyone else having a terrible start of August?

Last 2 days are totally terrible here. I am afraid that scrubbing is here again :(

For me August is going really well. I didn`t expect much as many other summers, so great to get this surprise!

August has always been a bad month for me.

2nd part of July was good, first 10 days of August too and then sales disappeared

Cam show's sales are down too, it's called back to school and end of summer.....then it's on to Football.

Staying at the expected sales target. :)

Beginning of August was slow, but things have picked up a little. Nothing to get too excited about. Let's hope September is better.

We're seeing the exact same thing.

Its funny how you can tell the affiliates who are being honest, and the paysite guys who are always "great as fuck sales" and "maybe you need a new sponsor *hint hint*)

July was quite good for me, August has been off no doubt, but nothing alarming. We'll see how going into september plays out.

For the very first time, in forever I think.. I actually went 11 days with no rebill or sale in CCBILL.... and this happened this month. Something is going on and no one is naming names.. I don't know why.... really starting to believe there is no money in porn... as an affiliate.

No kidding... 0:10,378 Raw and 0:8,562 Uniques

I'm pretty sure September and the winter months will turn this around, but this is getting a little unnerving.

Today however, 2 sales and 1 rebill, but these dry spells are getting way too long for my comfort level.

Very well now, its yo yo season boys.

I do more of a "direct sales" Mail order type of thing.
June/July was the best I'd seen in last 2 years , Aug has been nearly flat !
Actually, until tonight (Friday) for no particular reason I made 11 sales , 2 of them very large orders.
I just grin-n-bare it , you simply just never know ?

Conversions are consistently around 1 in 200

Already passed sales for last month on www.paulmarkhamteens.com and www.astral-blue.com, we were thinking we're coming out of the summer slow down.

I did have 64 rebills as well. Really sucks cause I like a lot of the sites and the people behing the sites and I hate to ever pull links. When I do I often end up puttting them back.

Several other nats sponsors are still doing fine.

Cmon CCBill, something aint right and like Sharphead I'm a lttlie nervous.. not for me.. for you.

And who got the one signup? I'll give the guy and prog credit as they did what others have failed:

VStripPoker got a sup or it would be 0 in 20,000 and these are click thru, 100% non blind uniques figured at 80% with Nifty stats so actually 24,104 raw sent.

I also want to say I will call a billing company on 1 in 20,000 but I won't ever call a sponsor on 1 in 20,000.

As someone who does this professionally 7 days a week if I choose a prog I will live with the results. It is up to me to make a good decision. I have made many good decisions.

But with CCBill there is common ground that represents alot of progs who are trusting in CCbill to deliver results and not scrub too hard.

I feel bad saying anything against CCBill. They have never mised a payment, ect. But fuck 1 in 20,000 won't support my cat. And if you combine me and Sharphead thats like 1 in 40,000 raw lately.

There is one other factor I should mention..

This 20,000 uniques is spread out among prob 100 sites at least.

Which brings me to a statistics question I have long wanted to ask the math guys here..

In theory 20,000 uniques sent to 1 (mean average of the set of 100 in conversion potential, in theory) site should convert the same as 100 sites each getting 200 hits.

There in lies the problem and to be fair to CCBill..

I don't think 100 sites at 200 hits each will convert as well as 1 site getting all 20,000 hits.

Just my gut as a wm, statisticly it should not matter.

Or should it?

(I hope that was an understandable example)

maybe this will push some sponsors to start pulling down member content from tube, torrent, forum, share,... sites, because my experience learns me that most sponsors don't do anything

Signups as a whole: I bottomed out in June. (Much worse than May) July a bit better and August even better.

Things seem to be going in the right direction as a whole. Except for a large traffic leak I have...

Because there are guys getting it done yet at reasonable ratios (thank god) but I see a lot of guys who say dump CCBill on this board.

Your rebilling great, which is why I didn't really notice the low sups lately. Cmon throw the affiliate who supports the internet a bone. IF you are scrubbing, reconsider.

Keeping up the trend from the past two months. Memberships, and sales across the board are up on ALL sites. I just hope they do not crap out like they did in July where they took a major shit in the last week.
