I have delt with female agents who have shown jealousy when I did not book her for a shoot.
It is my belief that is an agents job to pass along the job offer at hand to the talent requested by producer.
However, I have seen the female agents not pass along the offer to the female talent requested.

Roxy at www.metrotalentmanagement.com, if she is cute and young and you want to protect her.
She is one of the agents I represent and I can tell you that she is one of the few agents that will fight to protect her talent.
And a lot of her girls do just girl-girl so if you're friend is dipping her toe in the pool stay away from the larger agencies. They will push her to do everything including anal and IR from day one.Comment

I agree, the bigger agencies, make more money by pushing girls into IR especially, deep down inside they dont want to do it.
I have seen first hand an agnet make a girl feel that she is a racist if she does not prefer to to do black men on video,

LADirect - Good at what they do, but if you are not an LADirect type of girl you will be riding the bench while others work.
GoldStar - Only if you like doing privates.
Lisa Ann - Has been known to be inconsistent and has had more than a few meltdowns on talent.
Type9 - Completely unorganized and drops the ball on more than a few bookings.
Foxxx - Can book the new, young girls. But honestly, who couldn't these days.Sig Spot[less]Comment

As someone who books talent I have to say that they almost all suck!! I hate having to call up almost any of them and prefer to get talent from the other girls that I work with. I see roxy with metrotalentmanagement being recommended here and maybe she is great for the girls but she totally sucks when u r trying to book her girls. She is quite short when speaking with u and is downright rude as well as having no follow through skills. Maybe she just doesn't want any new clients, don't know, but we have been shooting girls for 13 years and I have used most of the agencies at 1 point or another. She never did call me back after saying she would within a day and that was weeks ago now! You maybe correct, but I recommended Roxy and www.metrotalentmanagement.com based upon who would be good for the original poster's friend, NOT for producers. A lot of the problems you maybe having with Roxy may be because she is protective over her girls and will not just send them to anyone.
I am not saying you are one of the producers she will not work with, all I am saying is what she has told me.
She has a loyal group of girls that appreciate her approach. Perhaps thats what this poster is looking for in a referral for the girl.
If you want to tell me who you are I will bring up your complaints with her directly.Comment

Yes, everytime I book through a female agent, I get the same rude behavior from them.
Specifically, Lisa Ann! I booked Jenna Presley through Lisa Ann and lisa tried to tell me what to say and not to say to her model while i was shooting her.
I still booked Jenna, and the shoot was great as Jenna was a trooper and pro, I told Jenna about Lisa Ann's actions, and well you can see that Jenna Presley is no longer with Lisa Ann.
I tried to book Kyrstal Steal through Shy Love and I never heard back from Shy at all.
I finally got ahold of Krystal directly and i asked her about this, and she told me that Shy never told her about the shoot offer at all.
For all of you agents reading this!
It is your job to pass all offers to the talent and let ethem decide what assigments they will do and do not want to do!
You are an agent, you work for the model/talent, they do not work for you! They pay you an percentage, that is your job.

The best talent agent here in LA is LA Direct. People who dont like Derek are the ones who generally try to get over on him. The girls that dont like him are the ones always late to shoot. Do your job, show on time with correct wardrobe and you will make money.Comment

Do the opposite of what I say?? Like making sure that the agent has updated photos of the talent he reps??? I say that an agent should update photos of all talent every 60 days, to show photographers and producer what that model currently looks like.
I say that the agent should pass along all offers the model and let her decide what assignments she wants to take.
Lets have a poll shall we..??
Who thinks that I am wrong about saying that and agent who reps a model or talent should at least meet the model and have new current photos of that talent??

Indeed, I've used every agency as well as pimp fronting as an agency in porn valley and LA Direct by far is the best. Derek always calls in advance if there is an issue but he also has a solution when he calls. After LA Direct, Spiegler and Foxxx would be my next choice.The Only Time When Success Comes Before Work Is In A Dictionary.

He is a class act, and he cares about his talent. I have seen him go above and beyond for his talent and his friends. However his girls also have the fear of God in them if they do not follow his instructions. You can count on them to show up on time and with everything they need to get the shots a producer needs.Comment

I just clocked year 7 booking girls, and, to me, it's serendipitous: one girl will love Speigler, and other girl won't last a month with him.
Remove the word "Spieigler" from the above, and replace it with LA Direct, Goldstar, Type 9, A-List...whoever. It doesn't matter.
The only thing most any of these girls care about is how much money they're making.
There is, however, different classes of agents. The big ones, the small timers, and the pimps. I've dealt with all three.Comment
