So I had a dream I made up with candyflip
 

well, ive been trying to live a more buddhist life. No greed, no hate, no enemies.

Something weird happen last night, in a dream fighting zombies, for some reason candyflip was the only other guy there, and we were shooting zombies together, and in the last sequence of life or death situations, I just looked over and said fuck it man, this may be it, lets let the past be the past and fight these fuckers to the death.

then i woke up.

as odd as it is, i need to get rid of my anger towards candyflip to move on to enlightenment, if that means forgiving candyflip for his actions of the past. so be it.

candyflip those feelings of anger I had toward you are gone, I am sure you would never do what you did again (at least not to me) so as in my dream, the past is the past.

i have no anger towards you, its removed from my mind.

I really don't know what to say. The thing that always bothered me about our beef was that we seem to be on the same wavelength for the most part.

That was a long time ago and it seems that both of us have done quite a bit of growing up. I still see myself as a kid then and now I've got two of my own. We might not be on the same road, but we're going in the same direction.

I really didn't expect to wake up to see this here today, just like you probably didn't go to bed expecting to wake up and post this. Back to family life and what's really important.

Now, the least I can do is send you a copy of Left 4 Dead. I was probably playing while you were dreaming about us. :winkwink:

I assure you, I went to sleep thinking about big titty mermaids, then had a wild zombie dream involving you and me saving our families. Crazy, but was great dream. Fairly vivid and straight out of a zombie movie. needlestosay, we had an arsenal of guns and ammo and we won.

Anyhow, yes, weekends are for family, I just had to get this done.

I haven't heard any fresh squawking about the guy doing any thieving these days, in fact for several years.

Choker's moved on, those one or two other guys have obviously moved on, and now Fletch seems to be moving on. Maybe it's time everyone else did the same? And maybe if that happens just maybe he (Candyflip) will curb his assholish side because lord knows the guy can really be a little shit when he wants to... and probably totally understandable when you think most everyone on the board thinks you're scum anyway.

If it worked that way for all things then no prison inmate would ever get paroled. In the real world a guy gets caught, does his time, and then after that time is done he is released, given a second chance, and is judged and given more leeway based on good behavior. Hell I've seen some posts where he's been quite the douche but like I said I haven't seen any threads where anyone is again calling the guy a thief for something new lately.

Personally I would have liked to have seen more remorse and apologies from the guy rather than denials and arrogant defiance, but it's now years in the past. Am I saying start doing business with the guy? No. But I am saying maybe it's time to quite calling the guy a thief ever five seconds. Unless he pulls something new or owes you money I think it's time to do like Fletch is and just let it go and move on.

Paroled inmates are still thieves, rapists, murderers etc. They've just paid their debt to society and are former inmates. It doesn't cleanse their guilt. Like you said, you aren't recommending doing business with him. Why? Don't trust him? Me either. I don't chase him around calling him a thief but if it happens to come up in a thread I will certainly bring up his past.

It's interesting though. I actually find the guy fairly likable these days. We have a lot in common...except for the taking shit that doesn't belong to us thing of course. :1orglaugh
