What to do with people who dont pay!
 

This is about a mainstream company, How long do you give them to make things right? I have waited for about 3 and a half weeks for a Camera I won, and they haven't sent my payment or camera, it supposedly shipped, Yet nothing has returned. How long do you give them before you start outing them on the boards. We are talking in the 400-500 range worth of money, They are fairly new, Yet heard go things which is why I started pushing them.

Outing them on a mainstream board? Not sure how effective that would be as I have found very few mainstream boards worth the effort.

Ask the for tracking number.

If it's been 3 and a half weeks, I would be upset.

See if they have a tracking number and if it actually shipped.

They might be trying to give you the runaround, if they don't have a tracking number then see if you can reverse payment.

Good luck with a mainstream company - but if there is a Better Business Bureau or if you have something in writing, then suggest going that route. Boards are tricky as they may sue you for slander etc. Go higher up in the company to see if you can get a reaction - or get a lawyer to send them a nasty "pay up" letter, if all else fails, small claims court or cut your losses

Yea I will just cut my losses, But its just sad seeing a new company come in, and not pay out on a simple promotion. I mean they offered, I won, Please give me my camera.

I didn't realize this was a prize, I took "won" to mean an auction or something that you paid for.

I wouldn't cut your losses quite yet, I'd try emailing and calling them. Be the squeaky wheel. Good luck to you.

What kind of camera btw?

Just a Flip Mino HD, nothing fancy, but something I can carry around and screw around with I have a Canon 50D For stills and I am no photographer, I just use it to screw around.

Knowing mainstream, they often don't always have the product on hand, and when it is finally obtained, it's passed through as many people possible until someone just gives up and actually does it.

Contact their Media Relations and say you're trying to get what you were promised. Doubt anything will happen, though, it's a Friday.
