I just received a strange and rather freaky UPS delivery today...
An actual bottle of True Blood.
Anyone else get one? The delivery invoice attached was from a company in California, it had my main fetish domain listed on it so they obviously tracked me that way, and there was zero for amount owing to Canada Customs for their usual bullshit charges. I did not order anything like this, but I'll definitely keep it. http://members.shaw.ca/cyberdogs/pics/trueblood01.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/cyberdogs/pics/trueblood02.jpg No, I'm not going to drink it much less open it. I think I might keep it in the fridge and freak my guests out when they go in there for something. Anyone else here get one? |
Damn you got the "V"
|
i seen em it was like 90 bucks for a case and i dont pay that for imported beer i plan on drinking.
but itd be good 2 have 1 for sure |
It came in that black velvet carrying sack thing that you see beside it.
I've actually been expecting a UPS delivery this week from another company and I thought this box was from them at first. Imagine my surprise when I opened this and it wasn't the stuff I was expecting at all. ha ha |

UPS sent me some dude's penis pills once. I'd would rather have had the True Blood.

I still have that bottle, it's still unopened and intact. Haven't seen this drink in any stores yet though, is it being widely sold yet?
Watching S4 of the series right now, made me think of the little "gift" they sent me. I still think it's cool as shit, what they did in sending me that bottle. (the show isn't bad either) |
What a cool mailbox surprise!
I loved loved loved the first season of that show. The following seasons were decent, until the current one. I took it out of my TiVo queue halfway through Sunday's episode and I may cancel my HBO. |

wow, really cool story.. you received something in the mail, amazing.
|
Maybe someone was sending you drugs and you forgot? Burn it to see if there is any cocaine leftover.
|
They sell it in 4packs at Hot Topic. I bought it once. It's super duper sweet and sugary.

They bought a lot of advertising from me straight up, on a number of my sites, so I can't complain about not getting the Tru Blood, although I would have been into that too. I think it is really cool they paid attention to what sites fit and sent that to you. The launch marketing for that show was genius, really innovative and well-done. WARNING: SPOILERS FOR FOLKS NOT UP TO DATE WATCHING THE CURRENT SEASON I realize it is based on the source material, but I hate that they took the beautiful relationship between the sweet alienated waitress and the old-fashioned reluctant vampire and retroactively made it kinda suck and be something different. I am totally irritated to watch this many seasons of a show and then have them totally change most of the characters. It is like there are no human humans left in Bon Temps, which makes the specialness of ESP or vampirism or shapeshifting a lot less interesting. The waitress is all domineering. The jaded club owning Viking is all puppydog looking for validation. The decent guy vampire is a sadistic dick. The V addict chick who was able to lure womanizer Jason was plausible, but I find it hard to believe that character would now be sprung on some meth princess hillbilly. And the hooker is in a relationship. The whole punk history backstory doesn't fit the timeline or geography and he makes a really unconvincing punk. They've got a rule about not appearing feeding on camera, which they just thought to mention now. Etc. Just really inconsistent. I don't know how they managed to make Alexander Skarsgard come across unappealing, while he is supposed to be becoming more attractive. He looks the stupidest, but I find all the styling this season way less alluring -- Sookie, Bill, Lafayette, etc. If I wanted to spend time with overly sexually-aggressive illiterates and self-important peer-pressuring Wiccans, I could do that in my real life and I choose not to. Also: werepanther for fuck's sake? |
Me being a were-wombat and all, I won't criticize.
The show is what it is. :D |
Maybe the word got out that you are a true vampire...
