Need advice on determing mainstream ad space rates
 

In my mainstream stuff, I have a girl that I do some deals with to the mutual benefit of us both. She has come to me with questions, and I want to give her good advice.

However, I cannot take my experience in adult and apply it, because I have never sold ad space on a site in adult.

My thoughts are that she should determine the page placement of the spots she is willing to sell, as a right page sidebar would sell for more than a text footer.

But I am not sure on how to guide her toward figuring out a reasonable rate for those spots. I thought that perhaps we should look at her Alexa, then find a comparable site in that market that sold ad space, and go off their rates. But that seems like a pretty inefficient, time consuming way of going about things.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about determining the worth of her spots?
