Its not hacked. Docsis 3 is slowly coming out in certain areas. Call your comcast rep and see if its deployed in your area yet. I just had to go pick up a new modem from them, call and get it provisioned. An extra 57.00 a month above whatever you pay now.

Put it this way, the tier 3 guy I was talking to was having people come over to look at my results after I got it setup lol.

And this ISN'T burst speed. Its solid 50 down with 10% or more added beyond the 50 cap. So looks like about 15% off advertised speed for dl, and not quite making the upload of 10 that I am supposed to be getting. Might need some tweaking for that, or the server Im testing off just can't handle that lol

Soon I get docsis 3, and I should get 50/5 in stead of 20/3. In October I will get 80/10!!!! whoohoo

Ya this is the first roll out, so I expect some pretty awesome speed gains in the next 6 months to a year as well. :)

I just realized my upload is faster which is way more important to me. I upload through FTP all day long.

Mine needs tweaked yet. I should be hitting 11 to 12 once I get it set.

Fucking hell! Down here in Aus, you're lucky to get 8mbps on 20mbps line *and*that usually comes with a silly download limit like 20GB. Hell, our dominant telco even has a plan with 400mb of data a month.... one windows update and you're done!

39 isn't a high ping lol, but 7 is an extreeemley low ping. I know this from years of doing game server hosting, and playing multiplayer 1st person shooters. Its very unlikely to see a ping below 10. normal pings for me are 29 to 45 and thats norm for most people.
