No Asian-Americans. Just Chinese, Korean, Pinay and Japanese-Peruvian - all living in Europe now. But who knows, maybe you still might have some insights that I lack.
There are actually several things that confuse me deeply.
First, there are the strongly mixed signals I've gotten from both the girl I'm dating now (Chinese) and the one before that (Korean). For example, in both cases, I was entirely sure that I got flat-out rejected (to quote the girl I'm dating now: "never in a million years would I go out with you"), and in both cases, I turned out to be entirely wrong.
At times, it's almost as if "yes" and "maybe" mean "no", while "no" means "yes". Unless it doesn't. Which, as far as I can tell, seems to be determined by some formula involving the position of the stars, the total number of burgers served by McDonalds and the current progress of a game of chess between Zeus and Odin. I have no idea.
And then there is the speed at which they take relationships. It's like they move ten times faster than European girls, and skip the whole "casually dating" thing altogether.
