I found it a bit overhyped

It doesn't have the features I expect in a car like that. In terms of offroad performance it's just an A6 quattro with a bigger body. I'd rather have something slimmer, lighter.

I admit I'm not really a "car guy", but a few months ago I bought an Acura RDX (SH-AWD/turbo) and so far I'm happy with it. Excelent safety without being too big or looking like a family-wagon, and feels/moves sportier than any of a similar class I test-drove. It's one of those cars that's nicer in real life vs photos, so maybe go down to a dealer and take a look. The interior especially appealed to my geeky side; the Acura logo even looks remarkably similar to the Star Trek logo. lol

I drive an 2005 Buick Lacrosse. Nice ride with leather and stuff. Pretty nice actually and I love the heated seats in the Winter here in the nations wasteland of Wisconsin. It looks like an old lady car so nobody would suspect I sling porn for a living. I like to keep a low profile.:thumbsup

The CTS-V is an awesome car.

I'm not sure if you're asking or saying it's ugly, but it's the control interface for all the map/audio/food-replicator/etc. Better than having a bunch of different buttons, but usually unnecessary because everything is also voice controlled. I love that when I ask my car "Find Nearest Blowjob" it actually directs me to a hotel! Not sure if that's a speech-recognition accident, or if the programmers were equally immature.

A decent car that gets you from A to B. I am not saying it cannot be a nice or new car, but with many of the luxury cars you're just paying for an image.

If someone needs a toy to validate them in life...

They should instead invest the money they didn't blow into their business.

I do like the Range Rover. I hate BMW's. I love Mercedes but some years I don't care for the tweaks they make to the bodies. I like some Lexus'.

I've always loved the look of the G35. Better yet, it's practical.

When I was about 17 I went to the repair shop with someone that owned a Volvo. They had a crack in their door panel. This was like 13 years ago, so we're talking about a piece of plastic back then.

Repair cost? $600. 13 years ago.

It was at that moment I realized I would never buy a Volvo.

it looks like you got some money to spend, so I would go for the BMW X6 or an Audi Q7.

The Range Rover isn't turbo... there is a supercharged one though.
If you get the RR, I would only get the newest model with all of its AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! features. The new Land Rovers are fucking KILLING it with technology!

The Range Rover Vogue is a great car got a friend who just bought one brand new and got a great deal on it.

A lot of the cars posted in this thread are not turbo or AWD.

A quick search of this forum for "Subaru WRX" results in a thread were LA Mike is talking about selling his ASTON MARTIN DB 7, after a Subaru WRX worked him at a track. FYI, he ended up going with the new Mitsubishi Evo. Personally, I don't like the new WRX or Evo as much.

Subaru's AWD drive system is superior most other makes, because of the symmetrical drive train layout. Here is a good comparison of some AWD systems available in a few of todays AWD cars:

Also, based on the two cars you posted I'd suggest looking at the Subaru Legacy GT Wagon. There is a also a huge subaru community called NASIOC that I've found to be very knowledgeable.
