YouTube Subsitute??
I was reading Popular Science and came across an article "Is YouTube the best way to fine videos on the web"? Interesting.
After a short search I found MetaCafe, which looks like they will allow the average joe to post videos to their very popular site. Are there any more uploadable YouTube replacements out there? YouTube censors have a hard on for a lot my recent postings. :censored:censored:censored:censored just got over a two week suspension. I do realize that no sexual content is allowed but I have been skirting the boundary for the last month. Good results with the ones that have not been removed. Ha, I love free bandwidth. Debbie loves money and free ad time.:food-smil02 |

Break.com is another good one, not quite a tube site, but they allow user uploads.

dailymotion is pretty good

If you own the videos upload them over at http://www.locospot.com If you are going to embed them in blogs or whatever just throw me a couple shout outs here and there :thumbsup

tv or movie theaters.

We will be launching one soon, but your content would not be allowed if YouTube won't take it.

thanks,
tomorrow will be busy. |
daily motion allows soft adult - nudity type stuff, but also has parental advisory warnings, meaning a user has to be logged in to see their 18+ stuff. They monetize it by loading pop ups to livejasmin and allow random soft adult producers to have custom show pages labeled "creative content". We've been rotating videos in and out of daily motion for about a year, had one of our Ivy Black pages deleted, no idea why, but otherwise have had a pretty good run with them
http://www.dailymotion.com/saucybaby overall its a big t and a tube with a nice Euro audience, so, 2 thumbs up.:thumbsup:thumbsup |
yeah, I wish I would have started this a year ago. The last four weeks have shown steady growth in sales. 10% + each week compounded. Can not wait to put more time into this.

Maybe it is just my location, but from here watching a video on dailymotion is like pulling teeth out. |

Apart from sites that have a history like break.com, metacafe, etc. the only reason people move away from youtube is because they want to add content youtube won't take. Unless you plan to lose as much as google you have no chance of competing with their bandwidth quality and huge audience, why would any surfer choose you if you offer an inferior product that has the same restrictions? |

Yeah in New York and New England I've never noticed any speed issues with DM, plus... allows nudity:thumbsup |

thanks again for all you help. I did not even know about dailymotion. with this economy and the downward trend of TGP charging to post these all make much more sense.
Many people do not use or have never seen most TGPs. They are so used to having viruses and massive spam downloaded that they try to stay away from sites that are overtly adult oriented. mefreedia.com truveo.com boxee.tv blinkx.com as some others I am going to look at. |
