hello everyone. i want to ask a question. i am going to trip through europe and i want to ask if there is a country where i can cash my checks and get money directly in the bank, without any waiting? you know what i mean? in my country i need to have bank account, i need to stay half hour in bank, then i have to wait six months to get cash from my check. is there any country where i can give check and get money? maybe stupid question, but i need to get cash from my checks asap ... im going through germany, france, monaco, swiss, italy, austria, hungary ... thanks in advance for any reply and wish you best with your sites! :thumbsup

no bank pays out a check directly before they know if it clears or not

La Caixa in Spain used to cash mine, but that was because I know the guy at the bank personally and have cashed checks with them for 10 years.

But now even they wont cash them. Too much check bouncing going on... best bet is to use ccbill and get a wire or epass.

Nope, you can forget about that! Checks above 200$ are even on hold up to 40 days until they clear... Amex traveler checks if you are persistent on using checks will be cashed on the spot.

epass is good for that. If you can get payments through epassporte, all you need to do is find an atm and the cash is instant.

thank you i am receiving money through epass also, i just hate that wasting of time in bank so i am cashing my checks every three month. but now its 51st day from last bank visit and still nothing on my bank account, my vacation is almost in danger, thanks to some small epass payments its not cancelled. thanks for replies and have a nice day everyone! :thumbsup
