What's a good white label social networking site?

Need something for a mainstream non-profit idea. Don't mind if it has a fee, I just want something that will be around for a while and I don't know anything about the few companies I've found.

Any experiences with any of them?

I also use ning for a handball social network, but I am looking at buddypress.org for a future one...with buddypress your in control of your members info...not some platform your renting monthly.

I looked at ning but the site doesn't have any info, you have to sign up and start building I guess to learn anything about it. I'll have to check out buddypress.org.

I looked at socialgo.com and it looked like it had the features I need but not sure how long it will be around.

I already have a site running on Dolphin on my own servers and it sort of sucks. I came across this http://www.socialengine.net/ so might give it a try.

Fartfly, I missed you on ICQ, I'll try you later.

You can also checkout http://www.snappville.com

I tried several and found ning the best so far, it is only costing me about $12 a month...the fee removes the ning info at the top of the page...and also lets me use my domain name. I also like that you have options for colors and templates, and gives you some management tools. Also the best thing is ning has no bugs, most of the others all had issues that I would need to report...so they can fix.

It seems social networks are a waste of time unless you can make one for a specific niche, kind of tough to compeat with myspace and facebook. and if it does take off you need ad revenue because it will get expensive to run. It also helps to be passionate about it...since I love playing Handball it makes it easy to run handball websites.
