Batch processing .AVI files
 

Does anyone know how to take a folder of .avi's and batch them into .wmv files?

Cleaner 5 or 6 will do the job.

why people use wmv is beyond me ;) (except for some bandwidth savings which are more than offset by the higher retention with bigger file formats). any proprietary format is trouble imo. MS can hit you with licensing fees at any time and i expect that time to be sooner rather than later.

cant hurt to offer multiple file types for people with different needs. remember, many surfers are still using dialup.
