Anyone have Netflix for your Xbox 360 ??

I'm debating on getting it, BUT I was wondering if the movies you can stream instantly, are they all new releases or is it only older movies that you can stream ??? You'd think it'd be too good of a deal if you could just sit there and watch piles of new releases for a small monthly fee, but maybe it is. Any input would be appreciated.

I have it and you can stream movies instantly after adding them to your Instant Queue. The release selection is mainly older movies, nothing brand spanking new. They also have a deal with Starz which gives you newer movies but nothing new to DVD.

I have it, but not really worth it IMO. movies are old and quality kinda sucks. you get much better selection from on demand for comcast or verizon

Thanks for the quick reply Aflex, so pretty much if I have my cable company's "on demand" service, it'd be a waste to also pick up NetFlix, thanks :)

Thanks for your post, that puts the nail in the coffin for NetFlix for my 360, ha ha. You replied while I was typing my other message, I appreciate it.

It's free if you already have Netflix, at least it was when I set it up. Not sure if you were asking whether to just set it up or sign up for netflix.

The movies rotate and "newer" movies are available for a short time. Not all new movies. But I watched Wall-E recently and a few others that were sort of new. You can also stream them to your computer. But yeah, the newest movies are not on there, it's mostly for somewhat older movies.

You also have to have a Gold account.

I use it, but that's because paying $8/mo for 1 dvd out at a time, and instant watch is better than $60/mo for cable, especially since all I use it for is background noise and to watch movies.

I'll probably just get a license for PlayOn and stream Hulu to my 360 also, then I'll have everything I need.

Ditto, plus if you like documentaries there are tons on there...
Also, they have Karate Kid I and II, and The Toy, so that is awesome

We have it and they add alot of new (old) movies every month. I think it's worth it if you already have a gold account... just my 2 cents. It beats the fuck out of watching movies on commercial stations and they do have some HD titles (1080i). For example, When Heroes was running we could watch the most current episode the day after it ran on TV and not have to fuck around with commercials... I think they also have every season of CSI and a bunch of other shows in HD.

Not atm, but I'm thinking about get it...

I had it....The bad thing about it is that you can't watch the new releases....So you could end up looking through a lot of movies that you don't want to watch anyway...

I would still get it though. In fact, I'm going to renew it.
