The caller, Lucia Whalen, never mentions "2 black men" and denies ever talking to Sgt Crowley even though thats what Crowley wrote in his official report and where the idea of "2 black men with backpacks" is referred to. Seems like Sgt Crowley needs to explain this discrepancy in his report.

I'm white.. if a cop showed up at my house, asked to see my id, I'd yes him to death and show him my id. I wouldn't start screaming at him that this is my house and how dare he come here when a break in is reported. Do what the officer says, be polite as possible and there won't be a problem. Doesn't matter what color you are. When you get mouthy, you get arrested.

but your white so the cops are not going to give you anyware close to the grief they give a black man.

we are officially one of the dumbest nations on earth.

1) people witness what appears to be a break in to a house
2) police are called to the scene under the assumption that there is a burglary, rape or god knows what.
3) they ask for ID from the guy in the house
4) guy in house tells them to fuck off
5) police eventually are leaving but guy won't shut the fuck up, screaming at the police who responded to protect HIS property
6) guy gets arrested for being a dick
7) this automatically means police are racist

Agreed... White, Black, Latino, Italian, whatever you are... if you start screaming at the cops who show up at your door after a 911 call for a B&E... expect to be arrested...

I agree with you, I would yes him to death too. On the other hand "getting mouthy" to a police officer IN YOUR OWN HOME shouldn't be a reason to get arrested if you aren't physically threatening the officer. :2 cents:

Tough call. I fucking HATE police and if I was in MY house, I would probably show them my ID once and then ask them to leave. They would not be coming inside, they would be at the door. If they came in uninvited, we would have a problem.

If I start yelling at the officer, it's not going to matter if I'm purple. I'm going to jail.

It's funny. I used to live down near the beach. One night, about 2 am I decided to go up to the corner store for a pack of smokes. It was cold and it started to snow.. I decided I would go down to the beach and watch the waves crash as it was snowing ever so gently on the beach.

I drove down, got out of my car and walked out on the beach. I was there about 1 minute before I found myself in a spotlight. I'm thinking wtf?!? I turn around and there are two cops looking down at me. The started asking me who I was, why I was there and a million other questions. They couldn't believe I was just innocently down there at 2 am. I had to be up to something. They ran my plate and questioned me for what seemed like forever.

So shove your if you weren't white, they wouldn't have bothered me right up your ass.

The amount of people who think otherwise or consider this to be a racial issue rather than an authoritative one, well, are stupid fucking assholes.

at one point the officer tells dispatch to tell the caller to come to the front door, perhaps he spoke with her at the door, seems strange the original call was 1 hispanic and 1 unknown and turns into 2 black men with backpacks.

My main gripe is that the president should NEVER have commented on it. That just pisses me off!

Jesus... I wish this story would die. Our country is falling apart, and all the news can report on is this, Susan Boyle, and Micheal Jackson - UGH!

There are good cops and bad cops. Me = Good grades in school, college educated, etc., etc., but I'm black, so I have some great racial profiling stories:

Robbery Suspect. When I was a teenager the keystone cops were convinced that me and a friend robbed a house ("we fit the description"). Oh yea, the house belonged to my buddy's parent and they accused him of robbing his own house with me ROFL. What clowns. They did the separate interrogation trick and said, "well your friend said you did it" (he didn't). Fuckers interviewed like everyone I knew, and surprise surprise, all the parents of my friends who were interviewed said, "you aren't hanging out with that kid anymore." Thanks cops!!

Bus Stop Shakedown. I was standing at the bus stop during college and cops pulled over and said I looked like a "suspect" (black male - surprise surprise) so they wanted to question me in front of everyone at the bus stop.

My Grandma is black. I turned my car lights on like 4 seconds after I turned my car on. I probably moved 10 feet. Cops zoom in and not only ask me for my ID, but the ID of EVERYONE in my car (all black males). I tell the cop he's a racist (white dude), and he says, "see this face..my grandma is black." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Guns Drawn for Jay Walking. I was walking to a bus stop from my shitty job in college at 4:00 AM in the morning or so with a co-worker (another black guy). We are in the middle of the block, and we decide, since there isn't a car within fuckin' 10 miles, we can just cross the street instead of looking like dumb-asses and waiting for the light to turn red at 4:00 AM so we get the crosswalk signal. We take about 5 steps, 2 cops jump us, guns drawn and putting us up against the wall. I honestly thought I was gonna get shot if I popped off. Cops frisked us, asked us if we had weapons or drugs on us. I said, "dude, we are in college and just walking to the bus stop." Finally they let us go with a warning. Guns drawn on a jay-walking incident...nice.

You Must Play Football. Got pulled over for speeding and I drive a nice car. Cop looks at my car and asks if I play for the local professional football team. I'm 5'10" and have the build of Dave Chappelle. I guess a black guy in a nice car must play football...how the hell could he afford it lol! (though the "you play football don't you!?" question vastly improved my sex life in college).
