Hey GFYers...I need your help coming up with some creative banner ideas...
 

Hey guys,
My company has issued a little in-house competition for anyone that can come up with a banner that will drive up CTRs on our WAP advertising...so, there can not be any flash animation...just normal static banners.
Can you guys help me come up with some ideas so I can win this friggin contest? I never get to win anything, so this would be awesome!
Here is the email they sent to all of us explaining the competition...

CTR?s (click through rates) are vital to the success of WAP Affiliate Advertising.

Higher CTRs = more inventory/often lower bid prices = efficient marketing.

The challenge is for you to come up with ideas, in the box or out of the box, for a WAP banner that will get a CTR that makes all other CTRs look measly, pathetic, embarrassing.

We are looking for non-specific, unbranded banners, that will attract glamour/adult customers so much that they simply HAVE to click on that banner.

Two sample ideas:
?Click me to see my boobs? next to a young, attractive, pouting blonde.
?Click here and I?ll suck cock? next to a... prostitute.

Please submit your 2 favourite ideas only, put your name next to them and return to me in one document by the end of this week. I?ll try to ensure they are designed next week.

The best idea, as proven by going live around the world and having the CTR measured, will win.

The August winner will get one of:

- A flying lesson (Marlow)
- An Aston Martin driving experience (Silverstone)
- A spa/treatment day for two (Wokingham)
- 2 x theatre tickets (anywhere)

I'm too tired to think of anything cool, but here's a bump for you

as someone who has made thousands of banners, that sentence doesnt not compute ;)

that email has ideas and you have content.. you need them wrapped up in fancy stylish decoration imho.. expencive wallpaper on backgorund some fancy decor elements and of course flash some body parts.
the banner needs to stand out and be nothing like seen before - thats the idea and not be like times square in nyc at the same time.
if it's purely slogan competition - get some creative writes or someone who likes to come up with bs stories all the time;)

Sorry, I may not have explained it appropriately...
These are going to be WAP banners, they will only be seen on mobile search engines and websites. Since these banners will be primarily viewed in the mobile space, there are some limitations to what we can use to accommodate all mobile phones. I just meant to say that the banners couldn't be flash animated since that wont work on most cellphones.
Other than that, any other ideas are totally appreciated!
