Vbulleting: Paid/subscriptions, who has some advice on it?

Im gonna need a locked section of a vbulletin forum.
Only people who paid a subscription fee should be allowed to view that special section.

I would love the following specs:

Payment: cc, phone/sms, epass
Subscription method: 1month/3month/6months, recurring when the dont cancel.

Fully automated, should email their access.

Now, is there a plugandplay solution for this? What would you people recommend i do. Access fees will not be high (5-29usd), so i dont want to be losing a lot on it.

If possible even a sort of affiliate system, but not necessary.

Please lemme know how you guys would do this. Its really much apreciated!

I'm setting up something the same way at them moment. Haven't really looked into a solution yet. Interested to see what people have to say as I was considering just locking the forum and manually creating the memberships to the forum. However this could be a pain in the ass to do daily if the site begins to do volume. We're set up for cc billing already on the project, but I'd like to see a way this can all be managed automatically via vbulletin myself...

Hope someone responds :)

Bump for some info I'd like to know.

You probably won't need a mod for it, but it really depends on which payment processor you get. Some are fully supported and it's just a matter of filling out some info and you'd be set, with unsupported processors you would however need some custom coding done.

Ya, I was contacted a little earlier today by a casual gfy lurker who pointed out these features to my vb-noob ass. They do support paid subscriptions via several different payment processors.

Does it matter? Not really...

but for the sakes of conversation, my project is mainstream...

My project is adult. Thats why the normal paybypaypal wont work for me.
Did the guy who gave you a hint have something usefull for us AJC?

I already found some mods, but maybe there indeed is a processor thats reliable and has the experience of setting this up alltogether.

Ive seen some forums that have memberships, so it can be done for sure.

It's all right their in your admincp menu under Paid Subscriptions -> Payment API manager. There is built-in support for Paypal, NOCHEX, Worldpay, Authorize.Net, 2Checkout, Moneybookers, and CCBill.

Google has turned up a few other options but they are vague on details. Either way, I have no other option than the figure out some answer to this issue for me and my partners. So I'll keep on it, even if it involved squaring someone away for custom code.

Feel free to hit me up if you're still having trouble with things.
