I?m fairly new to this biz, and while I LOVE my job and still have plenty of ?Wow! I can?t believe I get paid to do this!? kind of moments :thumbsup, I worry that I?ll get desensitized to porn from being around it all day. This would kind of suck, as I would still like to enjoy porn in a non-work context?

So my questions are: Will working in porn ruin it for me? Has it ruined it for you, or do you still happily get off on smut?

Curious to know.

It has almost ruined sex for me. Looking at tons of naked babes getting it from every angle sort of makes that the norm and in the real world, it is sort of normal but not completely.

Since I rep and are friends with a lot of the performers I cant really watch it. It has changed the way I look at it. Also since the GF is a videographer/editor I have gotten more critical of the technical aspects of shooting.

hmm... I'm not really working with any niches that are particularly my faves (except for vintage)... so many I'll be safe? Let's hope so!

I am sure that people working in a slaughter house still enjoy a juicy t-bone steak :)

It has not 'ruined me'. But I am increasingly desensitized to it. Yes.

I also only jerk to shit that 'hits the spot'. I no longer settle for porn that is, "Close, but no cigar'.

So we become ?connoisseurs? of sorts? I can live with that?

I never liked porn, always found it was boring. Why beat my meat when I can go find the real thing, which is so much hotter?

I enjoy making it, and i can watch it with an artistic mind, but i cant realy watch it and jerk off to it. especially if i know the girl or the guy.

It's more fun to make than it is to watch.

Just look for the things you like, and not for the things you don't like... secret to staying happy in life overall really. People become jaded and start looking for the things they don't like about something rather than appreciating the things they do like that are right in front of them.

I think the internet in general for everyone, not just webmasters, has made it so we are all much more in the connoisseur mode, when there wasn't much porn around at all, even the National Geographic magazine was considered hot by guys, now there could be a naked girl or three on your screen in the corner in a banner ad and you don't even notice it there
