IncredibleDollars trial joins with $0 as the payout?

These have been coming in for a while now under the PPS/Trial program. Anyone else seeing something similar? Every join now whereas it was a dollar amount greater than $0 before, is now $0.

Yeah I noticed a number of times in my stats it showed a sale but credited $0. So I assumed it was a webmaster referral but after checking my referral stats realized that it wasn't the case.

Maybe they are paying per active join now & not trials.

Matyko 07-20-2009 12:15 PM

Yes, this is fucked up, I am pulling links, however its a bit complicated if those are submitted galleries - but not impossible ;)

inb4 rogue employee / coding error excuse

docputer 07-20-2009 12:22 PM

I have the same stuff myself. Sale with no $

Matyko 07-20-2009 01:07 PM

I emailed Wil, no answer...

tabasco 07-20-2009 02:46 PM

Pay per active. They only pay when trial converts to full join now.

Denny 07-20-2009 03:41 PM

yep, that sucks and they don't answer :disgust

Quagmire 07-20-2009 04:00 PM

That's revshare for ya. a % of nothing is still nothing. :winkwink:

iSpyCams 07-20-2009 04:05 PM

This is not an error. They are only paying when the trial converts to a full join. If you read the main page this is clearly explained.

I think too many affiliates were taking advantage and getting paid on trials that never converted, now that they have sworn off cross sales they cant make money on non-converting trials.

semnate 07-20-2009 04:09 PM

i have noticed the same thing

i think they are trying to clean up their act so hopefully we get some feedback

Jai 07-20-2009 04:10 PM

same thing happening to me, no response from support

SomeCreep 07-20-2009 04:13 PM

"Pay Per Active" sucks. I hope in the future, they convert back to regular PPS on trials.

iSpyCams 07-21-2009 01:36 PM

Their retention is pretty good so you might want to try rev-share.

Yea revshare with them for sure. Good retention and amazing updates. Sure the $45 per trial I was getting wa snice but no x-sales and revshare will be good too in the long-haul.

Makes sense now, just came out of the blue at least for me after sending them traffic for quite some time now. As far as "taking advantage of trials that didn't convert" - that's not exactly taking advantage, it's taking the chance that you'll lose out on the long-term cash IF that member stays. They take a risk in offering the trial if the member doesn't stay, you take the risk in losing potential long-term revenue. Now on the other hand if you're sending bogus trials intentionally, then that's taking advantage.

brassmonkey 07-22-2009 06:03 AM

under the stats

Notice: PPS Sales are credited full disclosed amount when the membership becomes active. A trial membership is not considered active until it rebills to full membership.
