What is your experience with trial memberships?

Signups have def. increased for 2.95 but are there other problems... chargebacks?

Today has been the greatest rebill day ever... its the first day though of the rebills.

i'll post chargebacks/refunds when the happen... but this trial is by far the most has ever converted

you won't know until you have enough trial sales to come up with the % of trial sales that convert to a full membership. unless you're doing x-sales and lots of upsales i'm pretty sure you're better off not doing trials.

i would avoid them.

Don't you run a poker site or something? I think it would be awful hard to compare your numbers with porn site numbers.

really depends on the sponsor. i usually stick to PPS for trials.

the problem with trials on an adult site is easy

I have a 54mbit connection I can join for 2.95 download your whoile site in less than a day and cancel

almost everyone has broadband theses days and trials just invite that

they can't on vstrip though... its all flash...

the reason it's going off is because i collected emails the whole time. send them out 2 times a week...

I have no doubt I will get chargebacks, refunds, etc...

Just wondering if any program owners nixed trials because of too many chargebacks?

For a regular porn site, trials have not made as much money in my experience.

The sponsor I have been most loyal to for all my years in adult has never used
trials. That could be a coincidence but I don't think so.

When people pay full price they TRY to like the site and take their time on the site
and that has meant more rebills in my experience.

In other biz I have done it seemed as though the cheap price attracted complainers
and people with a pre-deposition to be dissatisfied.

Our sites have sold better at full price than any trials. But the most important factor is where YOU get your traffic. There are certain traffic sources that do better with trials vs. full price memberships, and vice versa.

The only way i would ever do trials if they were limited trials where the member would have to upgrade to get access to most of my members. It pisses them off but it does work too.

The 16th, 17th I had 6 rebills, yesterday 4... today 16 already...

This started from thursday promo trial... it's working man for me...

I hope it continues... but in the back of my head... "things to good to be true usually are"

Run it a week and see. if you are making more cash then keep them.

I did offer trials on my ishot site and had about a 90% cancel rate... this IMO I think is different and if it works... I'll just be makin porn sites from now on ;)
