Welcome to the board. Good design start. Maybe a little more contrast between the graphical buttons and the background so they "pop" a little more. I also think your logo could be a bit more in your face. Right now it just doesnt feel that strong on the page. SO maybe a bolder logo scaled up a bit could help.
