that's not his revenue source. he's one of the most hated mainstream bloggers online but what he does works, if you watch his videos or google it, it's pure branding. i don't like or dislike the dude just think it's informative. there is no denying traffic and hype this guy generates but it's part of his plan

I watched the whole thing. This is how he gets people to subscribe to his blog.. He gives his ebook free to whoever subscribes. Of course, they must double opt-in. They fill their email in, get an email with a confirmation link, click it and on this page they get the download link to the ebook.

after that his auto-responder sends out an email every week to build a relationship with the subscriber(s) (they get added into his sales funnel). In the emails he doesn't try to sell anything to anyone, but he recommends things. Everything he recommends has his ref link so he makes $ from it. ok, yes, he's selling to them, but he's not doing like most do and say shit like "you should buy blah blah blah click here)..

he earns peoples trust than recommends them shit. That's one way he makes $. So ya, he's not selling his ebook. He's using it as a free incentive to get people to subscribe to his blog. Seems to be working for him.

And now days runs the risk of being labled a spammer.. You can quadruple opt in with a blood test and DNA and as soon as someone says He spammed me.. its all over.

Oh I know. I don't do anything related to mailing, but what he does seems to still be working for him. I'm sure that there are many that have labeled him as a spammer already though.

Yes, it's good to build a list, but it's a headache too. Unless you can pass the filters it's a damn headache. And 90% of the auto responders can't. One that I like is Aweber but they only accept strictly mainstream stuff.
