What percentage of GFY'ers are LYING FUCKS?

After I saw that thread where the sponsor got busted for shaving, It just confirmed even more that a lot of people on here are some lying ass muthafuckas!

I mean gotdamn, these sponsors software has a separate section called "SHAVE"? And even after they were shaving, they still weren't making a lot of money. If I even had 10 webmasters sending me serious traffic, I'd blow some of these other programs out of the water! I just can't believe how much I have been LIED to about the profits that some of y'all are making?

I've had people telling me how many sales they're getting and then I just sit down and do a little math. With the traffic they're talking, I can't see how they're getting all these sales. Why? BECAUSE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! You can't be getting 175+ sales in a month with your sponsors with only 5K of traffic a day to your ONE freesite...If you can, let me know how. I'll pay PREMIUM DOLLAR for that information.

From now on, I'm not going to believe anything some of y'all fucks are telling me until I see a .jpg file of an actual check. These stories are getting out of hand. I wish I could see some of the BIG sponsor's true software to see what their shaving percentages are..

I'll admit, I'm not rich but I'm DEFINITELY established enough in my niche to go for the long haul. I just wonder how many people have been lying to me all of this time and aren't really making shit?

Telling the truth may be a virtue, but is it not more important to know how to tell lies? Any idiot can tell the truth, but lying is a skill, a science, an art. :321GFY

about 6 months ago somebody anonymously posted a screencap of an ADMIN section on Oprano, from a much better known program than the one in this thread, showing the same SHAVE column. Nobody commented on it - very interesting.

Don't forget that Mansion Productions on GFY months ago when they released their affiliate program in an amazing display of stupidity displayed their 'shave module' which was an option on the program.

You don't wanna get shaved? Find good revshare programs that
use the third party processors stats admin not their own. As far as I know, it is impossible to shave using CCBill, IBills, Jettis etc third party affiliate system. So you will get paid everything you deserve, no worries.

Sad because there are lots of programs who don't shave, or shave only to protect themselves from cockholsters. Meaning they are paying out what they should, they just have to 'adjust' things a little to make up for the vast amount of fraud going on.

That's the problem a lot of us smaller guys using third party billing have to face. We don't shave, you get everything you deserve as an affiliate, but there's no way in hell we can promise $65 per signup. People see the huge dollar signs and that's it. It's tough to get people signed up to a smaller program when they're blinded by the big guys' bling bling sham.

BVF> Most lie about their income. No doubt maybe 5-10% are making serious money but not everybody.

I have a huge cock. Proof is available on request to female GFY visitors.

It's hard to find people to trust. In looking to launch my own paysite affiliate program shortly, I'll likely pick the Mansion software because it's the most robust option. As long as the shave isn't turned on, everyone makes more money with a program that uses cascading processors, etc. Most every large program has written their own software for tracking sales and you can bet they also have the ability to shave.

I think it'd be a neat idea to be independantly audited by a 3rd party accounting firm annually to attest to the truth in the numbers.

I bet the first sponsor who does this will get the lion's share of affiliates.

Ya its very hard but i will disagree with ya on one thing bvf like me I know how many signups i have had the best was 34 in one day I get anywhere from 15 to 22 sales a day 95% from my webmasters who send me the traffic but im paying them 60% + 15% to acpay so right off the bat I lost 75% of the profit most of my sales are from my 14.95 price range with a few from the 29.95 area. so take 75% from 14.95 doesnt give me much. as for the shaving that is fucked up that is really fucked up. Hell I couldnt afford a script like that and wouldnt want to.

as for your site man I thought your site was racking in the doe bro? I know it was a year ago anything changed?

with both my servers running I have over 700k worth of steady traffic NOT all goes to my sites I have alot of free hosting I have givne friends and newbies that couldnt afford real hosting and I also have paid hosting I have 40 all together I wish I could make 175 signups a month with only 5k of traffic lol

Hey bvf if ya need anything done or anything mate look me up bro

Well this is the problem I have I use IBill's Rev Share program and it's doing great, but...

I want to use multiple possessors, dialers for the Euro market, also I would like my webmasters to get credit for the web900 sales, this cannot be done with the Ibill system as far as I know.

So I have a new affiliate script that can do all of the above, but then people will think I am shaving?

So I think I will give the webmaster the choice,

Trust me then use our new system.

Don't trust me then use our Ibill system, but miss out on possible sales?

Anyone have a better idea?

give them the option and be honest about what sales they miss out on if they go with the ibill system.

I'd say the percentage is the same as LW's uptime, 99.999% (are lying fucks)...

<IMX> 12-03-2002 11:51 AM

Anyone can shave you anytime, regardless of what system they use.
Unless you can monitor every hit you send and track that visitor through exit consoles etc.

I agree..

What they also don't realize is it is the little sites that keep the customers on reoccurring or rejoins because of the quality and personal effects made with the smaller paysites.

Just FYI, that's not correct - it's just as easy to shave with 3rd party stats. I won't say anymore about it, but CCBill won't protect you. ;>

Been done - auditedsponsor.com. Toolz launched it. I believe it lasted for all of 3 months before ARS brought it back into the shave, er, fold.

It's a very good idea, but accounting firms don't cut it - I want it audited by an accounting firm and the scripts audited by computer consultants hired by said accounting firm.

Dream world though, this biz is still too scummy for something like that to happen - give it another 5 years.

Cheers,
Backov

I got a question for you bvf, How do you figure this out .. just wondering how much traffic do you figure it would take for a site to do lets say 800 sign ups a month.

just wondering

[The Leader] 12-03-2002 01:03 PM

There was a sponsor that was planning on making their books public like Brad mentioned, auditedsponsor.com or something. Either I can't remember the url or the program is gone.

I don't know all of that. I just know what CAN'T be possible with only 5,000 hits to a freesite or a TGP.

say you get 5,000 hits a day to your site....Being generous, let's say that 80% of those surfers clicks on a gallery or something. Not even including the fact that all of those hits aren't unique. A lot of them are generated by a CJ script.

that's 4,000 people looking at one of your galleries. Again, being generous, let's say that you have a CTR of 5% on your galleries (which is very difficult). That would be around 200 people clicking through to a sponsor every day.

Spread that 200 people between 4 different sponsors and that gives you around 50 people a day avg. to each sponsor.

Even if you converted 1:50 for each sponsor, you would get 4 sales a day. That comes out to around 120 joins a month.

And those numbers are being VERY generous. Even with those numbers, you can't possibly come up to 175+ joins in a month.

So with those generous calculations, 5,000 hits a day to a freesite/TGP equals 4 sales a day IF you're converting 1:50 with 4 different sponsors.

Maybe I'm wrong because I'm not even in the realm of pulling in those kind of numbers...But shit just doesn't look right when I'm told things like this.

And to VA2k's quote "as for your site man I thought your site was racking in the doe bro? I know it was a year ago anything changed?"

No things haven't changed. I wouldn't say that I'm RAKING in money but I'm doing well enough to live comfortably. Even still, I wouldn't just volunteer that kind of info without you even asking me about it. The problem that I'm getting is that I'm getting told these phenomenal numbers and I'm not even asking for the info. That's another reason that would make me suspicious of someone.

Toolz started that after he left ARS the first time....he eventually went back to ARS and as far as i remember Marc De bought Audited Sponsor from him...though I could be wrong on that part.
