Has the global financial crisis affected Your life?

Let's speak about the global financial crisis

Elixir 07-17-2009 09:07 AM

Nothing changed in my life, only prices of some stuff I needed went dowwn so I got them chiper. Good for me.

BFT3K 07-17-2009 09:19 AM

Of course it has! I doubt anyone could HONESTLY deny this. Just the idea that people are losing their credit cards, banks are not offering credit cards as easily, credit card limits are getting lowered, and processors are scrubbing harder to maintain low chargebacks and fraud claims, directly effects EVERYONE in the adult biz for sure! It is undeniable!

Scott McD 07-17-2009 09:24 AM

I probably have more money now because i don't spend so much money on shit i don't need...

woj 07-17-2009 10:30 AM

not much changed for me...

Tjun 07-17-2009 10:30 AM

My wife was fired from her job along with 20 others. The next week she found a better paying job and enjoys more freedom :) So far .. So good

pornguy 07-17-2009 10:33 AM

Yes and No. We are saving more and spending less for the time being. We also put off the purchase of this house and will wait the market out a bit longer and may actually get a better deal.

Deesnuts 07-17-2009 11:05 AM

not tat tall

rayadp05 07-17-2009 12:31 PM

Nothing has changed for me.

LA Crew 07-18-2009 04:12 AM

The global crisis is not so visible in my life

SGS 07-18-2009 04:23 AM

Of course it has it has effected everyone to a greater or lesser degree. Sometimes it's not just about the money coming in. Sometimes it's about money going out.

cykoe6 07-18-2009 08:21 AM

Where I am the crisis has had such a devastating effect that the fact that I have not been effected has made me much richer relative to everyone else.............. so my life has improved rather significantly. :)

slapass 07-18-2009 08:22 AM

dropped about 500k in the market so yep, i would have to say it has sucked.

seeandsee 07-18-2009 08:41 AM

i am on horse

Klen 07-18-2009 08:59 AM

I am richer then ever.

kenny 07-18-2009 09:27 AM

The financial pillars of the world nearly collapsed.

This effected everybody whether they realize it or not.

Those who say nothing has changed mostly likely would be doing better.

Those who are doing better don't realize they could be doing even better.

If you were in business on the planet Earth the finical crisis has effected you whether your realize it or not.

Didn't affect me, I live in a cardboard box and suck power and internet from the library my cardboard box is next too. Actually, I'm starting to do so well, I'm thinking of ditching my box and getting a bigger box.

Agent 488 07-18-2009 10:18 AM

nope everyone on gfy is super ballers.

fuzebox 07-18-2009 10:50 AM

Shrug, my income has doubled in the last year and a half, and in the last year I've bought two foreclosures which generate good rental income, and am shopping for a third... I'd say the recession has been good to me.

I have an uncle that made a killing off of volatile bank stocks.

There will always be exceptions. The overall big numbers is what counts. Unemployment, DOW Jones, consumer spending, etc.

The question was how has it affected your life, I replied honestly :)

I would have figured the goal would be to be one of the exceptions :thumbsup

ultimatebbwdotcom 07-18-2009 11:31 AM

Stocks and house value obviously dropped but, the stocks are now 15% up and according to a valuation I'm at least even on the house.

Added a few new sites to boost sales further.

Can't complain too much

OrangeContent 07-18-2009 11:37 AM

I work full time in the auto industry as a production worker. I got hired during the recession. 6 months ago I had a few weeks off. I lost about $4000 off my pay this year. Now we're scheduled overtime everyday from August on. I think that's a good sign to be honest.

Can't say which auto company I work for but it's a foreign and successful brand for sure.

I am on contract with them, which is the only reason I had a few weeks off ... their "hired on", permanent workers never lost a dime.

V_RocKs 07-18-2009 12:06 PM

Everyone in my family was pushing for me to buy a house in 2006... The one I wanted was going for about $695,000 and is now $465,000. I think I will rent a little longer.

Toyota? I hear they are doing nothing but good things, even through the recession.

Thomas1007 07-18-2009 12:34 PM

The dollar doesnt go as far as it used too.
:helpme

fatfoo 07-18-2009 12:40 PM

Slightly. I do plan my money very thouroughly right now.

Ecchi22 07-18-2009 03:11 PM

Not directly, but people around me are affected, so yes, it has some consequences on me too :)

SleazyDream 07-18-2009 05:33 PM

yes but it was a good thing cause it brought me back to online adult

jmcb420 07-18-2009 05:38 PM

hell yes. lost a business and a Job at the same time. Between house and car payments and simple everyday bills, I figure i'll be found dead of a heart attack near my mailbox sometime soon.

theking 07-18-2009 05:41 PM

Even though I auffered a large loss when the stock market fell...never did I lose any of my principle investments...so nothing has changed for me.

Semi-Retired-Dave 07-18-2009 11:21 PM

Not much for me, it's a perfect time to Brand our Products and you can find better employees. Also getting great deals on Real Estate.

PornMD 07-19-2009 12:21 AM

It completely fucked my home value, my stock value the returns I was getting on what little I was able to save, and my income, but besides that this downturn's been peachy. Without it, the way I had been going, I'd probably have been a millionaire by now, and instead I may even be technically worth negative money right now despite my domain portfolio.

Boobzooka 07-19-2009 06:18 AM

Overall sales down 15-20% since peaking in '08; but individual affiliates vary dramatically, some down, some up.

On the flipside I just bought a beautiful property on which to build our dream/retirement home, and paid 1/4 what a neighbor did a few years ago ... so that helps make up for it. :)

Emma 07-19-2009 10:51 AM

There's no financial crisis for me either. Well, not more then normal anyway. I just seem to be lacking in inspiration at the moment.

I always love the broad sweeping generalizations.

:2 cents:

bbobby86 07-19-2009 10:59 AM

bbm 07-19-2009 03:28 PM

My day-to-day life pretty much hasn't changed.

MasterBlow 07-20-2009 05:12 AM
