What ever happened to personal responsibility?

Hell everything is someone elses fault.
The government should help me.
I'm such a big victim.

Shit.
Guess what, I've been really fucking FUCKED since about February and I haven't blamed one thing for it. It could be MY FAULT. And guess what. It is.

So if I can admit it, the rest of you whining crying little cunts can, too.
You might get somewhere if you stop drowning in your own piss and tears.

Who needs personal responsibility? Our new messiah in office will simply take all of our neighbors money and give it to me... No problem!

Completely agree.

Uh.. But when it ends up being my money... and I'm pretty screwed as it is....
And that happens to enough hundreds of thousands of people...
And 1:3 citizens are armed with firearms....

Wait, you're right, forget it... it'll work fine
The people don't seem to notice these things

Break into my garage I'll KILL YOU
Steal my money through taxation and inflation I'll BEND OVER

What in the fucking fuck,
Fuck.

Personal responsibility is dead, this is the "something for nothing" era. Right from an early age kids are taught they can have something for nothing, and that's what they expect in adulthood. That's why there's so many depressed people around, they finally realised they can't just have everything they wanted and they need to work for it, and it's too much for them.

Yeah, as if I'd be reading this thread if it wasn't your fault. :1orglaugh

This is a trend that has been going on forever.

IllTestYourGirls 07-16-2009 08:58 AM

It is called "The Obama Effect" but has been slowly creeping into our society for 100 years.

Tom_PM 07-16-2009 09:00 AM

What happened to it? Enforcement of it became "abuse" sometime when we weren't paying attention.

Parents "negotiate" with junior instead of tanning his hide these days. Junior can buy his way out of anything now by talking a good game.

Just like confessional. Go fuck the neighbors wife, just kneel in the dark once a week and tell someone and stroke a few beads and like magic, your slate is clean.

God damn, wtf does this have to do with who is president? my god, any opportunity..

fuzebox 07-16-2009 09:09 AM

The sad thing is these people actually believe they are entitled to everything.

dyna mo 07-16-2009 09:13 AM

y'all talk like there was some point in human history when everyone assumed responsibility for themselves-

when was that?

DateDoc 07-16-2009 09:14 AM

As more and more handouts become available to people they begin to think of them as entitlements and not as a helping hand.

It is probably a good thing that I never had children, then. I'd love my son, alot, and when he tried to negotiate his way out of some shit he was in with me I'd be
1. Proud of him for negotiating
and
2. I'd go upside his head with my cane

I, personally, quite enjoy getting to pay for others who are just too lazy, or too whiny to work for themselves. I feel it's my right as a citizen to pay for these dregs of society, even though I've had to drag my own ass out of the gutter more than once. I mean, why not just give it to them? At least it saves them a carjacking, right?

The culture of victimhood certainly makes it's stand, and its' hard to argue with: All of these people are fucking worthless and will continue to be until we destroy their leader, Jessie Jackson. He's the first one I remember going on TV and whining about being given shit for doing nothing.. and that was way back to at least the Gen X days.

Humanity is doomed. This is the worst generation of human beings to walk this Earth. At the rate we are consuming and degrading society VS the advances of science, we won't make it to the space race to colonize the next planet are will inevitably require to continue our existence.

Good luck bros.

Rochard 07-16-2009 09:46 AM

We've become a generation of "it's all about me".

This starts now in grade school. I remember trying out for the basketball team, and sweating bullets waiting to see if I've made it. These days, all you need to do is try out. You'll make it no matter how much you suck at it. Why bother trying? You'll succeed no matter much you suck. I remember a day when cheerleaders were the most beautiful chicks in school. I attended a high school football game last year and was stunned to see fat fucking cheerleaders.

It's also reflected in our driving. I drove one thousand miles this past weekend, and it's amazing how many cars sit in the fast lane and make you go around them when there isn't any other traffic around. At one point I almost cried - An 18 wheeler had broken down on the side of the road, and as is customary an 18 wheeler passing it moved over into the fast lane to ensure the broken down truck wasn't hit, etc. The car behind him the 18 wheeler that moved into the fast lane was so fucking stupid that he dropped down into the slow lane and passed this truck - completely blind to the broken down 18 wheeler. It was stunning.
