CunningStunt 07-15-2009 08:21 PM

What game are they playing there, Galaga?

Aquarius 07-15-2009 08:25 PM

I really like XP, I'm on vista now though.

qxm 07-15-2009 08:34 PM

I am on XP... I might move to 7 when it comes out.... I am not even going to comment on vista

TidalWave 07-15-2009 08:37 PM

NASA still uses computers from the 70's... so nothing amazing there.

stickyfingerz 07-15-2009 08:39 PM

Ill stick with Vista, and will have 7 running within a month when I get some time to swap this one out, or goto dual boot.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 07-15-2009 08:48 PM

TinyXP FTW!

crockett 07-15-2009 09:04 PM

If you want to hear something funny.. The computers on the shuttle are very old and simple, like 80's and early 90's. The astronauts bring lap tops along to plug in and help run the ship.

Space stuff is like banks, they are always 10 years behind on their systems.

This is the computer system it uses.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_AP-101

SGS 07-16-2009 01:17 AM

Never ever had a problem with XP and no plans to change any time soon.

seeandsee 07-16-2009 05:03 AM

XP is real gold

JeffCliff 07-16-2009 05:08 AM

I bought a new computer and it has vista as its OS. After only a few weeks I really miss XP and may even consider uninstalling Vista! If you have XP, words of advice... Stick with it!

I am still on XP

peedy 07-16-2009 02:06 PM

Banks, Government and nearly all Fortune 500 companies are probably 3-5 years behind as far as tech goes. They do this on purpose because they require the upmost stability and reliability.

RichCashOmar 07-16-2009 05:57 PM

CI-Andrew 07-18-2009 07:53 AM

why bother? sure i guess it was different before they started using the same freakin hardware.. it's not your pc that sucks, it's your os.. www.ubuntu.com :2 cents:

Manowar 07-18-2009 11:15 AM

As one of the few people using XP and Mac side by side on a daily basis ( I do like the navigation aspects of windows) I can tell you a little bit about what I went through last night:

I bought a new webcam from target and plugged it in to my XP machine expecting it to boot right up - instead I spend the next three hours trying to update "service pack" and all these other updates to the OS and all this crap even before I could install the service pack - these downloads put thousands of dll files on my machine and I was forced to restart 3 or 4 times and was unable to work during all this - it was a total nightmare.

The mac os is so vastly superior to windows is astonishing anyone still uses microsoft crap.

fatfoo 07-18-2009 12:50 PM

That's good to know.

CaptainHowdy 07-18-2009 12:59 PM

Very nice, hehehehe!

paymeback 07-18-2009 02:06 PM

Installed windows 7 few days ago, wont be going back to XP

Roby 07-18-2009 04:13 PM
