Tubes That Offer full vids: Whats the point again?
 

I know this has been posted 1 million times. I must be slow or something. There are tubes all over the place now. I can understand having teaser clips or even long vids (5-10) if there is a sponsor link under or around the video. I mean, im sure if a surfer is going to click dating ads and banners that offer no real tease or really make an attempt to "sell me", some will also click on sponsor link. What i really want to know is how tube sites like this one, http://porntubie.com/ make money? Isnt money the most important thing? I mean this guy has no description, no sponsor link, full vids, and some dating banners on the side. Oh some shit banners way at the bottom and some chat tabs. How do you make money using this model. Give away everything dont ask for anything back? I.E. cash. Im serious i want to know. Cus i want some fuckin money. So somebody better fucking tell me. Whats the secret? BTW i found this site through twitter as one of the top searches for the term porn.

I don't know about you guys, but I can just as easily jerk off to a 2 minute video at a "legal" tube as I can to a 20 minute video. In fact, a 20 minute video just means I actually have to use my hands to skip to the part I want to jerk off to.

Ok i get that..but how can you sell ads spots to webmasters if you giving away for free what they are selling? The oonly one that would work is dating. Eventually less webmaster sales means less ad revenue for. Then if you try surfers who want free porn to paying customers surfer will move on, its like trying to get people who who download music for free to buy cds.

yeah, all that traffic is worth 1000s and 1000s of theoretical dollars.

break a gallery link, go to a 404 and you hot 80% of the time a tube site that is filled with movies of that same sponsor you are trying to sell. Sponsors are the biggest problem with tubes. In-house traffic, 100% sales, core goal of a sponsor... who needs webmasters these days

Are you asking how they make cash, or are you just venting?

How they make cash is pretty easy to figure out. They pay nothing for content, a few hundred for a script, and bandwidth at volume is sub $4 per meg these days.
You don't have to sell alot of stuff to make a (small) profit with overhead that low.

It seems the webmasters running their "legal tube sites" have never jerked off to their own sites.
The surfers don't bother with 1 minute videos. Legal tube sites = stupid.

I'm not interested in debating whether or not people can make money from "illegal" tube sites. The OP asked what the point was, and that is most certainly the point.

illegal tube sites get such good traffic because those of us with our own content go there everyday to look for our shit lol

Dating and Cams will always work but belive it or not many paysite owners will buy video placements along with ad placements etc around their video as long as you have big traffic. Tube sites do actually sell paysite memberships too.

3-5 mins of tease works. Nobody watches the whole 20 minute videos thats just a stupid waste of bw, people only skip to the shit they want to see. Example: My vod sites convert at under 1:40 never have been higher that around 1:40-50. These guys buy small packages and watch like 3-5 mins, fap fap and gone. Legal tubes can work if sponsors get off there ass stop taking it in the ass and make some shit people want to ejaculate too. Mainstream movie trailers make you want to watch not all porn trailers accomplish this.

But that is off the subject of my op.

One more point, im the new guy in the room but how can you keep shooting content then giving it away and trying to sell something else other than your content. If you dont sell that other shit i.e. dating webcams etc wont you burn your money and have to shoot less content?
