is there any way to have wireless internet for a laptop? like being anywhere in US and being able to connect? i already know about using a cellphone but its like 28kbs.. is there a satellite connection option or something??

Check with your local cellular carriers. There is broadband (100-200k for cell) You'll need to or want to buy a cellular NIC. Service is pretty reasonable. My company has it for our techs that are on the road. Pretty cool stuff. It's not available everywhere, but I live in a pretty small state and we have it.
