What speed internet do you have?

Just wondering what speed internet everyone has.

CYF 07-09-2009 01:50 PM

Mine just got bumped up. I believe it's around 16/4 right now.

Barefootsies 07-09-2009 01:51 PM

I have two connections.

1. Cable. 5M/1U, for my main machine.
2. T1 Data Circuit (1.5)

This way, I am never completely down unless I lose power. A flick on the router in my utility room, and tada. Back toe bidness.

seeandsee 07-09-2009 01:54 PM

My telco is digging lines for fiber in my neighborhood this week. They haven't gotten to my house yet but I'm going to switch when my contract is up.

KaliC 07-09-2009 02:08 PM

I can d/l at around 25meg and upload at the same time at around 20-25

Actually I just tested it, came out at 18 down 8 up.

Pretty sure they bumped it up cuz Qwest is rolling out fiber.

Sometimes I get download speeds of 1.5 mb per sec, and other times I have to wait 5 minutes just to watch some Youtube video of a guy getting kicked in the nuts.

I think most people's internet is fast enough, but you're always at the mercy of the server you're connecting to.

the alchemist 07-09-2009 04:58 PM

10/1 for now

Andiz 07-09-2009 04:58 PM

100/100 mbit right now.

IllTestYourGirls 07-09-2009 05:04 PM

Well the reason I asked was I was thinking of getting a different bundle from comcast but I would have to drop my cable from 30Mbps to 15 Mbps. Im trying to decide if its worth it or not. Do you think I would regret the downgrade in connection?

Aquarius 07-09-2009 05:10 PM

2/1 for now

Marialovesporn 07-09-2009 05:19 PM

I have 60/6 and I love it, not sure why you would go from 30 to 15 ?

Nicky 07-09-2009 05:22 PM

100/100 mbit fiber

Dailydiapers 07-09-2009 05:23 PM

My service provider says I get 8megs, my experience says I get 3.5megs

Well comcast is running a bundle deal that gives me everything I have now plus an extra phone line for $40 less a month but I would have to downgrade to 15 for the bundle.
