quick design question
Are image maps compatible with all browsers/system?
I'm considering using some on a tour instead of linking every gif, I would just make an image map that emcompasses all gif and have a single link. http://hoohoo.ncsa.uiuc.edu/docs/tut...gemapping.html :helpme |
To the best of my knowledge yes they are.

A normal html coded image map is very compatible, it pretty much works in every browser (I even think it works in text browsers such as Lynx)

yes, they should be

Yup - Shouldnt see any compatibility problems :thumbsup

Yes it would work no problem!!:thumbsup

I don't see much use of image mapping anymore although it used to be all the rage. I thought maybe it was because it became incompatable with the newer versions of IE or something similar. If not, what reasons do you think the technique isn't used much anymore?
