Cheap apartment in Miami
Little Haiti, USD55k for a 2 bedroom, foreclosure.

Is it real these days? May be it has huge maintenance? Or is it a bad area? |
Little Haiti? :(

somebody looked at me all cock-eyed when I told them there were projects in phoenix.
they looked at me even more cock-eyed when I pointed in the direction they were. haha. There's shit parts of every major city. |

The question is why would anyone consider buying an apartment in the bad part of a major city. |
When I watch "the first 48" on A&E Little Haiti always comes up... wouldn't buy an appt there for 5500 dollars if it was available..
|
the entire area called "little haiti" is not bad. that one looks like its in a good area.

I recommend Hialeah, Florida! It is just a few minutes from Miami. A bonus is that the medical examiner van will always be in your neighborhood! If anybody gets killed in your front yard (they will), the response time is only a few minutes.
As for FL real estate prices...some banks are starting to get realistic with pricing and there are deals to be had. There is also going to be another huge wave of foreclosures that the banks are trying to prepare for. One way that they are preparing is by getting their existing inventory sold ASAP. |
Little Hati? Good luck with that.
|
If its not on the beach you dont want it.. I doubt you will get anything decent for that price.

I've lived in Coral Gables, South Beach, Kendall and Hialeah. I like Coral Gables and SoBe the best, but you aren't necessarily going to get "cheap" housing there. If I moved back to Miami right now, I'd probably choose some areas of the Design District or some of the high-rises closer to downtown. And as Forest said, Hollywood is nice also. It's just always seemed a little far away from the stuff I like to do. |
looks good

its not about super nice. its about the price, sounds surreal. can it be this cheap in USA? Im thinking for using it to go to USA and stick there for some time owning a property. |

For $55k are you really gonna lose that much? Ok it might be in a shit neighbourhood but I bet you can rent that place out and make some money on it. Just hire some big ass guys with guns to go collect rent lol.

Anyways, the place pictured looks like the apt turned condos off of 60th and Biscayne. I know the name but since you didnt say I wont post it. The prices are cheap but the building itself is old. The building is gated with security so you wont have to worry about thieves (within the property). The whole area from 54th to 79th has been under gentrification for the last 6/7 years. A lot more 'trendy' shops are opening and the locals are being pushed out. There are still enough tricks and drugs within a rocks throw so I wouldnt live there. There are cheap spots in N.Miami and Hallandale. Aventura is prime but you will spend ~350k. Good luck. |
