UFC 100 - This man's hand will be raised in Victory Thiago "Pitbull" Alves!!!
Remember his name, Thiago "PITBULL" Alves!!! He will dethrone Georges St. Pierre. as Champion, and American Top Team will have it's first UFC Champion!
WAR PITBULL!!! http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...42376_5044.jpg |
NOPE!!!! GSP is for real!!! After the number he did on Pen, im a believer. HAs a very serious work ethic too.
GSP!! Referee stoppage... |
Alves is a very good fighter, but GSP all the way!
|
This is sort of like Machida vs. Evans again.
GSP being Machida. He's over body seems too rigid, and. :thumbsup GSP could do backflips over Thiago Alves. And he Will. GSP! I agree he has a killer attitude, not the lazy laid back fighter. But I see GSP winning this. |
Should be an interesting fight.
|
I hope Pierre loses and might even throw some money on Alves as the line is pretty nice right now.
|
Sorry no stopping GSP..
|
gsp for the win..
|
GSP is at the top of his game right now... he can't be stopped~
|
NAYSAYERS REPENT!!!
Pitbull waks around 205lbs+. GSP isn't gonna be manhandling Thiago this time! :) ATT ATT ATT ATT ATT ATT ATT Pitbull bringing back the belt to Coconut Creek!!! |

Pitbull is a Muay Thai Wrecking Machine! I'm actually gonna be in Canada when this fight happens, and I will be in that fucking sports bar with my shirt with a big ass AMERICAN TOP TEAM LOGO on it proud as can be when Peachy beats down GSP! |
Certainly valid points with GSP against Matt Serra. Thiago Alves seems to have the type of raw badass attitude to put a scar on GSP's face, but how good is Thiago Alves standing self defense?
Also, what are your thoughts for fighter Jon Jones, as you seem to be somewhat of an expert around here, any future predictions? |
Anthony, Do you know an older guy named Scott S. that used to train over there in coconut creek by any chance?
|
I hope Alves wins to be honest hahahah
|
GSP for the win.
http://www.yardbarker.com/media/2/2/...er067UFC52.jpg btw, I saw him in a club a couple weeks ago |
The only person beating GSP will be Anderson Silva in a catch weight. This guy is way on right now.
I usually go with what Anthony says, but i know he is biased like a mother fucker because he is Top Team. I am biased too when my friends fight and i forget to look at the bigger picture. GSP round 3 TKO or Reff stopage. |
GSP is gonna be hard but as always anything can happen.

Kinda guy you want on your side in a street fight, cause he wont' stop till someone is dead. |

BECAUSE I WILL BE IN VANCOUVER THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY!!! BE FUCKING READY!!! |
I also say GSP but my track record for MMA predictions is horrible
|

Pitbull has awesome take down defense, and is a brown belt in BJJ. He can stand up after being taken down, he's shown it with his past fights. |

GSP is going to have his hands full for sure. Im thinking a new champ and i cant wait for Mir to knock out Lesnar. Going to be epic.

GSP has never fought a STRIKER of Pitbull's caliber, who has great take down defense, good Jiu Jitsu, and always gets back up. And MOST IMPORTANT... Walks around at 205+lbs daily. That is all. :) ATT 4 LIFE OOOSSSSUUUUU PEACHYBULL!!! |

What game plan do you employ? Brock wont be on his back! Lesner is a new breed of super athlete, this is the future and he is here now, pounding people. I am no fan of the guy, i dont even like him but my buddy Eric Paulson is training him, he brought in Rigan Machado to work with him and they fly in monsters from around the world to get him sharp. What i get as info is 1st hand from his trainers. And they said "there is nothing like this guy". Lesner 2 round KO!!! It will happen so fast and so brutally that the ref wont have time to stop it!! |
should be a great fight.
Alves with his standup and GSP on the ground. GSP wins, in the second imho. :2 cents: |

He has the heart, and the will to win, and HE WILL BRING THE BELT BACK HOME TO FLORIDA! My only regret is that I am not there to celebrate the first UFC Belt won by American Top Team with them. But I WILL BE IN VANCOUVER CANADA WITH MY ATT SHIRT ON MAKING SURE EVERY CANADIAN WHEREVER I'M AT KNOWS WHO'S TAKING THE BELT HOME SATURDAY NIGHT!!! :) |

Did anyone else see the interview with GSP where he "admitted" he did cheat in the BJ Penn fight.... by saying he hired that creepy guy in the audience to walk up and kiss BJ on the cheek when he was entering?
I laughed my ass off. At first I thought he was going to admit to greasing, then he came out with that line. :1orglaugh edit: found it: https://youtube.com/watch?v=_UEwTms36Es |
That is gonna be a great fight. These top Brazilian fighters are in another league lately. Thiago may come out too strong for GSP. If it goes longer it favors GSP I would think. Gonna be a good one.

Mir has to be very careful because he wont be able to do what he did last time wqith lesnar, Lesnar is much more trained than he was then and thats all that lost that fight for him, inexperience. Dont get me wrong, mir is good. But he will be lucky to take the belt. |
Ya know I want to say Lesnar won't lose twice but Mir sure slapped some technique on him first time. So who knows. He was pummeling Mir the first time for almost what 45 seconds then suddenly bang leg lock! Over.
But I guess I'll take Lesnar and GSP. Because to beat GSP now days you have to be good. I'm not sold YET on Thiago. :) |
Mir looked so good in that Nogueira fight. I watched the countdown show on Spike the other day and I love the comeback story. I am rooting for him against the monster Brock Lesnar.

He didnt know about defending his legs/feet.. Ive watched in his other fights since that the fight with Mir taught him a huge lesson. I would like to See Mir win though :thumbsup |
Quote:
Agreed, lots of folks will root against a guy who makes a rock hard 265 weight. He's a local MN boy so I have to be in his corner. Like you said a keg of dynomite though who may kick some upcoming butt as well for quite some time. |

I was sure Muscle Sherk would out Muscle BJ Penn a few fights back too. And BJ basicly just had too much technical know how and new how to fight with defense ect.
Look at Machida and that wack style that keeps winning. Some guys just know how to fight. And knowledge does seem king in fighting. |
And lets not forget Randy Couture stopping Tim Silvia. I would of bet money Randy was going the way of Chuck Liddell. And Randy Schooled Tim then knocked him out for petes sake. (Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that is correct.)
Anthony, I will rooting for Thiago. I like his style and George has won enough. Gets boring. Plus in all honesty Brazilians have one at least 4 out of 5 of the fights against lets say "non Brazilians". So I would NOT bet against Thiago (too close to call or bet) but if I had to I would bet GSP with whatever spread just because I believe he is coming into his own and has looked very good last 4 fights or so. But from where I sit, Go Thiago! :thumbsup |
GSP wins by decision. He basically dominated every single round.
|
wasn't even close. couldn't do anything to GSP even with GSP pulling his groin.
Canada 1 Brazil 0 |
GSP all the way.
|
War GSP!

The answer, Alves had not.
|
What? Am I reading this right? That's got to be the biggest joke in history of MMA. Alves has nothing on GSP. Not even in his dreams.
|
Anthony.. I told you so.
