i just saved a horses life :) not mouth to mouth but still

so we are driving along the trans canada highway here in PEI

and all of a sudden a big horse runs onto the road, and is really freaked out by all the cars.

i put the window down and yelled at it to GO HOME....lol

the thing stopped looked right at me...then turned around

i pulled the car over, and got out and grabbed it by the bridle

took me a few houses to find the right one, but eventually was able to walk it back to the rightful owners

they were very very happy...as not only would it be bad to lose a horse in car accident

most likely the accident would have killed the people in the car as well.

anyway, that was my good deed for the day
id post a picture of the horse but i dont have access here to do that

its on face book though :)

Good stuff. :thumbsup

We had plans to do Nova Scotia this summer - but decided instead to sink the money into the house instead.

The maritimes rock.

That is pretty cool that you did that. People usually don't want to bother doing anything like that. I did that once with a dog that was on the side of the road. The owners were really grateful I brought him back being it was a really busy street.

LexiLexxx 07-05-2009 02:16 PM

Thats pretty damn cool man!

I love people who look out for others, including themselves and animals :-)

You gotta hit this up if you haven't yet. It was the 2nd best meal we had there, the first was fresh farm corn/potatoes and steaks bbq'ed at our rented cabin last night we were there.

i fucking LOL'd when i read that he did that, classic.

kane 07-06-2009 04:19 AM

That was good of you to do. I'm sure those people were very thankful.

When I was a kid I lived out in the country. The guy down the street raised Bison. One afternoon they got out. I'm sitting my living room and I hear horns blasting out front. I go out and there are a bunch of bison (probably 8-10) standing in the middle of the road stopping traffic both ways. They are huge and very unimpressed by the cars honking their horns.

I call up the owner and he asks if I can get them out of the road for him and he will bring a truck down and get them. I ask him exactly how do you get a bison out of the street? no bullshit he tells me. Just got out and yell shoo! at them. So I walk out to the edge of the street and yell really loud. Shoo! Those fucking bison took off at top speed. The leaped the ditch and promptly trampled my neighbors yard. Tore the hell out of their garden and flattened a small fence.

I laughed my ass off. I guess since they were babies that was the word he used to keep them away from the fence. He picked them up then paid to fix my neighbors yard. It was an expensive trip around the neighborhood for the bison. :)

Platinumpimp 07-06-2009 06:16 AM

When you found the right home, did the owner greet you with 'Hi I'm Ed?' ;)

That must have been funny to see. the horse was probably thinking. "Oh shit! I'm busted."

It is amazing how some little thing can control a huge animal. Those bison were something to see. The people in the cars started laughing. I laughed. My neighbors with the trampled yard, garden and fence didn't think it was so funny.
