Do people even bother signing up for new sponsors?

I don't even remember the last time I signed up for a new sponsor. PPS sign ups are almost non existent, recurring also.... Cams & Video onDemand are ok,,,, Dating starting to suck ass big time. The summer is here, this does not help also. No need to mention the others that are killing the industry...

I don't sign up for new ones anymore, either.

fallenmuffin 07-03-2009 03:04 AM

I put new sponsors in the mix. I work in micro-niches so anything new usually goes over well with my traffic but not always. Then there are sites I've been pushing for 5+ years and will never stop. And some I've been pushing for 5 years that are nearly dead and need to be replaced but lack of content I have nothing to replace them with.

Working new sponors in is key to making coin.
Getting their galleries and promo tools up before they are saturated is a great way to add new sales.
No offence but its funny how how seem to think there is no point in adding new sponsors but in the same breath talk about how there are no sales out there.
Sales are still there, you need to work much harder to find them these days but they are still there.
On a side note I only push new stuff that uses a known third party biller these days.

I promote myself and help others who do so too. If your sponsor cares about retention and making money as much as you do, it makes promotion much easier, so things are much better for me now.

Exactly. :2 cents:

Perhaps the industry only sucks for those who don't change and count on the same old programs to save them?

Odd niche and/or micro niche + good exclusive content + knowing what to do with it = paid.

yup 100% agree with that! I sign up to promote new ccbill sites all the time. Because of all the cheating I don't sign up to any non ccbill sites unless i know they have been around a year and i trust them

Amazing reply, new sponsors are needed to keep things fresh. Without new content, sales will drop across the board.

Furious_Male 07-03-2009 10:36 AM

I am always testing new sponsors. Taking chances on some have found me my best converters in my line up today.

I'm slow to join new sponsors because I've tried so many already before.

Yes, it really doesn't hurt to sign up for a new sponsor and who knows maybe exactly that very sponsor will become your next big moneymaker:)

I understand the feeling. But I also know that all the big money I made on the web was by throwing up the latest and greatest. Not sure if this guy in the bear head qualifies but that is the type of thing that it pays ot jump on.

niche25 07-03-2009 01:05 PM

I love new sponsors, before they hit the boards and get saturated.

96ukssob 07-03-2009 01:07 PM

i sign up for new ones from time to time to test out their goods.

most give a lot of empty promises and never follow through on what they say they will do for you... starting to remind me of used car salesman and less of affiliate managers.

PornNewz 07-03-2009 01:13 PM

Promote WhiteZilla with Hushmoney. I believe they have a NATS tour ready as well.

Somebody must be signing up for new sponsors because I'm getting the normal trickle of new affiliates every week.

Exactly, it really confuses me when people say they don't sign up for new programs, but at the same time everyone wants something new and fresh. We've been growing with affiliates a lot over the last couple of months, but I am still making more non-affiliate than affiliate sales. Obviously I'm doing okay with my own advertising. Who wouldn't want to get in on that, I don't know.
