what are the chances that buying a few high pr links will get your domain banned?
ive got a good site and trying out a seo package from digitalpoint, most of the stuff is manual submissons, articles, press releases, but thought i would buy some links as well
thats the only think i think can possibly get me blacklisted from what im doing and a tiny bit concerned http://forums.digitalapoint.com/ is down right now so i cant find it, but its in the buy/sell services forum, they have a few going, i normally wait til months have passed and you have some good reviews non adult stuff |
I personally think you are going about it all wrong. IMO buying links, submissions, and such is a waste of time and will give you more negative results than positives. Especially with these so called "SEO Packages" that are sold over and over again. I never had any results from such tactics.

before buying a "seo package", make sure you buy some lube first... :2 cents:

I think you would probably do better with actually buying a few high pr links rather than most of what is offered in that deal you quoted that will be completely worthless :2 cents: but of course you will likely get ripped off and not get links that will help you either way |

results will vary based on k/w, niche, etc.. if this person knows what they are doing then you have no worries. |
well, not seeing it specifically, but those .edu and .gov links are likely to be considered spammy if google ever notices your site or someone reports it
also, when someone says link from a pr7 site, it is likely that the actual page that the link is on is not pr7 relevance means alot to google too, if your site is relevant to the site that it is being linked from helps much more than just a random unrelated site that has pr personally, I would avoid this deal completely, but if you can afford the loss then go ahead and experiment, you might get some benefit (I'd be surprised if you get much at all though)... just my opinion |

that is exactly what i wanted to hear not to worry |
I had Indians submit a few sites to 1000 directories a year or two ago, and funny a couple of those sites are sitting at pr0 now :1orglaugh

A couple of points...
1) That is all automated, there is no way someone would do that amount of work for that cheap otherwise. 2) Flooding backlinks to your site all at once is probably the fastest way to get your site sandboxed in google. 3) As mentioned earlier, buying links is a waste of time. 4) Since its automated, everyone who buys the package gets links from the same sites, thus telling google that these sites are link farms. |

I only buy links from trusted sources and even at that I do it seldom. I have such a big network now that I can link my self in and after that I build that linkpower I need through various tactics that are not disclosed.
edit: I don't really think people understand that all it really need's is to have a nr 1 placement for a pretty low targetted very niche 2 word keyword in google and you have 1 sale+ a day in the bank. With correct landing page that is....hehe |
thanks for the posts, gave me some ideas
|
never , just do it privatly
|
if you look at the thread, the OP explains they are all manual submissions
