Go Obama

I must admit being a strong conservative I was highly concerned with how Obama would handle the Taliban.

Although I feel bad for those who voted for him on the premise of anti-war and withdrawl of troops to which Obama's presidential campaign focused on, I am HIGHLY impressed with his offensive in Afghanistan. Largest offensive since Fallujah... Operation Khanjar or "Strike of the Sword" -- What a bad ass name.

I guess this guy does have a pair! :2 cents:

beerptrol 07-02-2009 09:49 AM

It was my understanding that he wanted to withdrawl troops from Iraq and focus on fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan

Yeah he seems well adapted to killing women and children at funerals in countries we are not at war with. I believe that is unconstitutional and consider war crimes.

As a matter of fact, he signed a bill into play that our men can now be held liable for those 'war crimes' which he's executed.

We can only hope someone opts to hold him liable for them. Perhaps one of those lovely unfriendly nations whose ass he likes to kiss.

Anyone whom voted for Obama on the premise of "anti-war" did so with their hands over their ears. Obama made it very clear that he intended to pull troops out of Iraq, "but" to continue full fledged in Afghan and in other areas revolving around the "real" war on terror. Not nation building in Iraq as Bush had done.

Tom_PM 07-02-2009 10:50 AM

You could post a thread saying "Obama has nice teeth" and someone would come post how he murdered a puppy because he's president and a puppy died somewhere in the world.

YAWN already. We get it.

DaddyHalbucks 07-02-2009 10:58 AM

There were many valid reasons to go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why people believes the Left's propaganda on Iraq, I don't know.

JC Maldini 07-02-2009 11:00 AM

We better do like the Russians and start building our Afghanistan memorial. Unreal how people justify this crap year after year....nation after nation.

We had ZERO reasons to enter Iraq... It had no weapons, it did not ever attack us, it was no danger, it wasn't attacking anyone, it wasn't being taken over by anyone, it's oil was safe.

I bet in the near future we will have a manufactured financial crisis, and the bankers (goldman, the fed,) will have us surrender all our capitalist ideals in the name of saving the union....oh wait :Oh crap.

Then I bet we will create some form of global warming bill so that way the bankers (goldman, fed reserve) can futher line their pockets and also have us surrender more personal liberty....oh wait :Oh crap

Tom_PM 07-02-2009 11:14 AM

"he bombed his own people"

he did that before he invaded Kuwait and we still chose to sign a truce/treaty with them. And why? Because we dont assassinate foreign leaders. Yep, NOT EVEN when they kill their own people with gas.

"he had wmd"

Yeah, we all remember idiots dumping out french wine and freedom fries (even though "french" only refers to how the potatoes are cut. ssigh) because the US propoganda machine had to try to ruin the french UN ambassadors evidence to the contrary. News flash: france was correct on iraq's wmd's, the US was wrong. Suck it up folks, sometimes we're WRONG.

etc etc etc blah blah blah it wont matter.

Dood 07-02-2009 11:49 AM

Saddam was just trying to scare Iran into thinking he had WMD. So he couldn't allow anyone to inspect his country for weapons, at least that's what the new reports say.

There are many reasons to go to war with Iran, North Korea, most of the countries in Africa.. yet we don't. Why was Iraq so special? Oil..

btw.. you do know it was the Republicans whom bitched and moaned at Clinton to get him to pull troops out of Somalia after the whole Black Hawk down thing. Then a few years later the same Republicans turn around and claim he cut and ran..

Well... being that you now have a far left, Constitutional Lawyer as your President... i'm sure you can trust in him to undo the Patriot Act right away since it serves no purpose other than to oppress its own citizens! ... well... maybe not right away... but... well.....

Clinton had the final say on that one.....but didn?t Clinton send over the troops to begin with initially.

Bush I (President 41) did.....and left the mess for Clinton.....funny now the same has played out with....Bush II (President 43) in Iraq, Afghanistan & the Global Economic Crisis. Look at the wiki page as it says 2008/2009.....its funny to see that Obama wasn?t sworn in until 2009.....

So yeah once again the Rep spin Dr's blame EVERYTHING on the Dems.....for shame....your party of "family values" is in disarray and you?re only "projecting" on the other guys....yeah....Obama fucked it ALL up....yet he truly hasn?t been in office for 6 months yet.

Just wait until Health Care Reform gets passed and is implemented.....then if it blows up in their face....then you can have a leg to stand on.

Amazing how some folks have Reganistic "selective memory" of the facts but can bitch and moan like there party is just ?full of angels?!

At least no gay sex in airport restrooms or taking off down south to meet his mistress??

My point isn't left or right...its that we are run by FREAKIN BANKERS....doesn't matter who is in office. Each party has their little social issues that we can bicker over...but the bottom line is they both serve the same masters.

I think we should all get over this left right thing and start focusing on the government as one huge, intrusive, inefficient entity. Let's get on board together brother! :winkwink:

Support bipartisan Bill 1207 to audit the Fed. It would be nice to see the "transparency party", that is the democrats, leadership get it out o committee and to the floor for a vote.

That's the bottom line. FDR even warned us this would happen.
