I'm sorry but RUSSIA IS EUROPE as well as Russia IS ASIA. Don't forget what Russia is. BTW, why are you talking about Russia in this thread? There is no law that forbids Russians to keep porn. Furthermore there are few big local porn-distributing companies that work absolutely legally. Wanna links? :)

BTW, it's Ukraine that wanna be a part of EU, not Russia ;)

For morons: Porn on home PC under law in Ukraine now :warning

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 07-02-2009 06:37 AM

why would anyone go to Russia anyway?

blah

CaptainHowdy 07-02-2009 06:41 AM

Someone nuke Ukraine already...

Bullet 07-02-2009 06:47 AM

storing for "personal use" is not illegal.
storing with purpose to distribute is illegal.

Nope. Storing for distribution = up 4 years in prison. Storing for personal use = up 3 years in prison. Read the fucking Ukrainian law before you comment on it. :2 cents:

just a punk 07-02-2009 06:59 AM

The Ukrainians have to say a BIG THANK YOU to their pro-American and pro-EU regime headed by Mr. Yushenko known as a big fan of George Bush Jr., Saakashvili, NATO and famous American and EU democratic freedoms.

Greetings and congrats from "authoritarian", "non-democratic", "non-liberal", "Asian" Russia to "democratic", "European", "liberal" and "free" Ukraine - you guys made the best choice ever electing Yushenko & Co. as a president of your country following to the US and EU directions :thumbsup

k0nr4d 07-02-2009 07:11 AM

For all the UA residents out there, you might want to be installing this immediately:
http://www.truecrypt.org/

I run it myself, all harddrives are encrypted, works fine with xp and vista, and even my 2 raid arrays. There is no noticable system slowdown.

just a punk 07-02-2009 07:15 AM

TrueCrypt won't help if you will be asked for a password having a red-hot soldering iron stuck in your asshole. This is a usual procedure Ukrainian police use to get your frankest confession :1orglaugh

Absolutely. I even can explain why and how exactly this law has been adopted in Ukraine. It was a predicted event.

There's Europe and then there's Europe. Part of Turkey is in Europe but their laws are very different to those of say Holland or Denmark.

Russian and Ukrainians are really practically the same nation. However these countries have different political systems. So this is not about people but about their "leaders".

As about communist, so I can't agree with you fucking nazi moron.

SteveHardeman 07-02-2009 07:53 AM

Well, after 50% of the country is in prison, they'll have to change the law.

What for? It would be a long an boring explanation. I'll try to give you in very-very brief version. You should know what according to the stats about 90% of co-called "Russian" cp was produced in Ukraine? So the anti-child porn law was intended suggested to Yushenko by his overseas bosses. And it was intended to fight cp only, but not legal 18+ porn. On the other hand, you should also know that Ukrainian "leaders" never did something right. They always tried to overdo any order to gain favour with their masters (Ekaterina II, Stalin, Bush, Obama - doesn't matter actually). This is how word "child" just disappeared from the initial law and it turned into "anti-porn" instead of "anti child porn" one. Have you read the 1st version of that law before it was changed, ah?

The history knows much more terrible stories caused by puppet-like Ukrainian leaders. Do you remember "Golodomor"? How many Ukrainians died just because the local Ukrainian "leaders" Cosior and Chubar' were trying to gain favour of central government (Stalin)?

These stories happened earlier, they happen today and they will happen in future till Ukrainian "leaders" will be dependent on 3rd countries.

I'm sorry for a bit awkward explanation, because I tried to make it as shorter as possible. It's really hard to explain the things in 2 words without serious analysis of Ukrainian (Malorossian) history, and without an extended estimation of the current political situation in Ukraine.

scottybuzz 07-02-2009 08:13 AM

Is this really true? I thought Ukraine was very open to all sorts of shit. I mean they let the low life scumbag MR Right aka darkjedi aka destined to troll boards and live on his own for the rest of his life live there. Yet they won't allow this?

Cyber Fucker 07-02-2009 08:14 AM

Wow... that sucks! Crazy law that will die anyway one day but meanwhile it will be an excuse for govs to search personal computers... I don't like Ukraines anyway, on the border every customs officer want a bribe only because you want to cross it. This is wild outlaw country at heart for now and I wouldn't try to do any business there unless the situation there will stabilize.

I use similar but hardware based system encryption too, and I use truecrypt for external storage just in case... :thumbsup actually, I don't have anything illegal :winkwink: but I have all my life plans on my computer data so... No, I wouldn't let nobody to access it... never! :thumbsup

just a punk 07-02-2009 08:16 AM

I don't think that MR Right is darkjedi, because darkjedi is an Ukrainian himself.

And yes, that's true. I've posted the links in this thread already.

Serge Litehead 07-02-2009 08:41 AM

heated opinions..

Sucks for Ukrainian people their government fucks them. but as they say each nation deserves their rulers.
In Ukraine people used to all kinds of shit, have no trust, no loyalty and nobody does anything in opposition - because they all know nothing will change. Everyone after their interests especially those in power.
It's democracy there alright, without voice of majority.

Actually they were really widely supporting Yushenko and Timoshenko during so-called "orange revolution". They were believe these American puppets will bring them the real "freedom". The problem is that they belief in Western freedom according to the Hollywood movies but not according to the real situation there (the USA is a police country already, the Europe is still trying to be liberal but who know how long they will be able to...)

MaDalton 07-02-2009 09:27 AM

i guess that means no shooting porn for me over there ;)

what about a little POV for home usage? is it porn when i get engaged first? hehe

Tom_PM 07-02-2009 09:29 AM

Aww shoot. Oh well, "Visit Ukraine" is officially off the bucket list now.

Let me provide some assistance here:

RUSSIA != UKRAINE
RUSSIA != EU
UKRAINE !+ EU

Wouldn't be fun to mess with this law. I've been on the wrong side of immigration agents there, it was:
a) scary
b) expensive
