A uncle of mine built a addition to his house for a studio, he has walls of guitars lots of machines, he has this board with like 10,000 knobs on it and machines that record multiple tracks of music on a what looked like a tape for a VCR. They could plug up a laptop to the machines and make sure the notes where exact.
None of this is important this thread just reminded me of this, I have no clue on how someone can learn to operate all those damn buttons :winkwink:

Fletch XXX 12-02-2002 12:14 AM

Do you run that type of equiment as well? I have no idea but some of that shit is pretty kool, I seen a keyboard that can make almost any kind of sound I could think of. And those "ADAT?" things that they record with you can keep adding, subtracting, changing layers to the music. Awesome technology :glugglug

The second Rickenbacker 360/12 ever made. George Harrison received this guitar on February 8 1964 as a gift from Francis C. Hall at Rickenbacker

I have been asked to play and 'figure out' $150,000 synths. Specifcally the Synclavier. I have been working in recording studios since I was in high school, all I know is knobs.

From vintage Moog synths to triple stacked ADATs to Rhodes pianos.

I am Knobs.
