Anyone ever bought a program and made it better?

hahaha expanded so quickly that I have to say the jury is still out. At least they improve the stats deal. So many other programs have been bought and are just dead...

well most programs who sell do so because they see the ship sinking and they dont know what to do or try yet tell the buyer they are selling because they are moving into mainstream or real estate or because of family related things

no clue about hahaha but in these days when people sell be very very careful

I am redoing old sites and the number of dead sites, programs etc is just amazing. It is like digging through Atlantis out there.

One man's sinking ship could be another man's rising tide. All market actions are based on perceptions of value. A sinking ship to you might be an underdeveloped golden asset to someone else. Specially if that other person has an existing system that could use new pieces to further optimize results.

Good point regarding full dislosure though but that only applies to facts, reporting perceptions/future outlook might only serve to undermine the seller's negotiating position. Those are opinions whereas traffic volume, traffic trend, operating costs, and conversion ratios are facts. The buyer focuses on the latter while hoping the former gains him/her a negotiating advantage :2 cents:

I went through the galleries of a teen tgp I built in 2004... I was shocked at how many dead programs there were!
