Ten year wedding anniversary
My wife has been foolish enough to put up with me for ten years of marriage.
What should I get her? Serious question here, although if someone can make me laugh that would be great! |
What is the difference between a bachelor and a married man?
The bachelor comes home, sees what's in the refrigerator, then goes to bed. The married man comes home, sees what's in the bed, and goes to the refrigerator |
Congratulations, Roc!! Maybe her dream vacation? Take her to see girl things that she likes, like maybe a spa weekend at a beachside resort complete with massages on the beach, or a culinary weekend with different dinners at the restaurants she's always wanted to try?
Or hey, you could get her a shiny red mustang with vanity plates. :) |
Jesus... for a minute I thought we got married on the same day but then I realised if you've been with her ten years part of that would be from not buying presents on the day and planning ahead ;).
Ideas? Mine is a sucker for trips away. It's always good to surprise too. Like last year I was away on business and she thought we weren't going to be able to spend it together but I had organised time off from work for her, plane tickets, flowers in the hotel room, a reservation at her favorite resturant in that city etc and had an invitation delivered to her about 2 hours before she had to be on the plane to fly down and meet me. Yeah.. that went over pretty well. It's hard to beat the disappointment turning to awesomeness angle. Ten years.. I dunno. it all depends on what she's used to. On our ten year "anniversary" I proposed to her... since then a trip away here, a fine dinner and some jewelry there... The ten year wedding anniversary/twenty two years together will probably involve a surprise trip to Paris or something.. all depends on whether she's already been by then.. whether we've got kids how much cash we've got on hand.. how much time I can spare on a holiday etc.. I know it's cheesy to pretend you've forgotten or something but you can always plan something that you're really into that she isn't to make it believable. Like an outdoors fishing weekend or something if she doesn't like fishing.. and then organise a helicopter to come out and pick you guys up about 15 minutes after you arrive from the camping area with some sort of emergency story like they're looking for someone lost in the bush and take you to a swish hotel and a penthouse room or a nearby romantic retreat that has a helipad.. get your parents/friends you got to follow you to drive your stuff home. *shrugs* just off the top of my head. |
Well, it seems that a lobotomy won't be necessary. Something that used to be live and keeps her warm?
|
Wow, you guys are still married?
Congrats buddy! |
Congratulations to you and the Wife!!
|
Congrats on the 10th milestone.
The wife and I celebrated our tenth last year. |
Congrats to you and Donna on ten years of happiness.

Be considerate for once in your life Richard and get her what she really wants = a divorce.
Seriously though, congratulations to you and Donna. You're two of our closest friends and we couldn't be happier for you, well done! :thumbsup |

Congrats to you and Donna. 10 years is a major milestone these days! Take her somewhere she's mentioned in passing- so she knows you were actually listening (you were, right??)
|
Congrats man.
|
Congrats to you and Donna! Two amazing people that deserve each other :thumbsup
|
Congratulations, Richard!
I suggest one of the basic things that most women love: handbag, clothes, jewelry or trip Brad |
WOW - 10 years is a major milestone for sure!
CONGRATS! I say a custom designed piece of jewelry (ring, necklace, etc) or a trip...or better yet, BOTH! :winkwink: |
