It's a beautiful place that has incredible surfing, fishing and scuba diving.
My dream vacation is to spend about a month on a boat riding around the Mentawais surfing the different breaks while living off my ocean catches and take pictures and video of the whole experience.
So far the only thing drifting is my dream

Its fantastic!! No words can describe it, but WTF is stopping you? I can understand if you live in a third world country, but if you don't have enough of cash for Maldives, go to Philippines its the one of the best diving places in the world for a fraction coast. Find a butler/guide before you made the trip, its very cheap to hire one, I can tell you more if you want...It's a beautiful place that has incredible surfing, fishing and scuba diving.

The number one priority of the trip would be surfing which is best in the Mentawais. Lots of charter boats rigged and available for just such a trip. What's holding me back.
