Yeah I hear you. It doesn't get anywhere near as hot up here, or for near as long, but I mostly try to wear a leather jacket and gloves when I ride. The exception being the hottest of days and if I'm just piddling around town.
Oh well. I believe you said he was a new rider. We all know it's not a matter of if you'll lay a bike down, it's when. Good learning lesson that he seems to have escaped from with minimal injuries. Certainly could have been much worse..Comment

Not really sure as I was in front of him at the time. He said he was attempting to change lanes when something (he does not know what) got it the way causing him to go down on one side then flipped to the other.
A lady came back and said a car clipped him and kept going. They got the info of the other vehicle, so we will have to do some investigating. CHP seemed to think he may have hit one of those Bott's dots wrong. A fluke.
It was fairly low speed, 50-55.
If he is lucky.
What was funny was I had invited him a few days ago to join us on a ride this Sunday, but he had plans. Apparently they got delayed and he happened to show up at our destination for the day.Comment
