Is samsung omnia a good phone?

battery is dying on my ten years old nokia so I was thinking it might be time to update
I'm on At&t can I unlock a verizon omnia?

I would like something I can use Wifi / skype and get decent freeware apps for
So I think I want something that runs on windows or maybe something open source, no iphone shit

I don't know how well it operates, but it is a cool looking phone.

I have it, used it for probably 8 months now. I don't like it, it's very slow, the screen sucks and it lags a lot when using the touchscreen. I wouldn't recommend it. Next week I will get my blackberry, which I have heard only good things about.

Nokia still produces good phones ;-)

i have a samsung phone and it's a battery waster and i don't really like how it functions..

i have the omnia.. at first i liked it even though it's a steep learning curve if you've never had a windows powered mobile before. now i'm completely use to it but the phone just sucks. it's very slow to respond, typing on it is absolutely horrible, also a piece of plastic in the back broke which means the battery area opens all the time and the cancel button stopped working altogether (luckily i was able to reprogram one of the other buttons to act as the cancel button or the phone would be unusable). basically i hate it, stay away.

I have a samsung omnia through verizon and I love it. If you have any questions I may be able to answer them.

Just read the reply above mine ^. Well that sucks. I am a new user and have had it for only three months. I have a protective leather case which goes completely around the phone. I suggest that when getting a PDA or deal with a bunch of broken things. These things are fragile.

The more gadgets it has the more sensitive it is.drop a couple times and it will malfunction
