Live windows media streaming - Feedback needed
Playing Transformers - the game on my PS3 @ www.watchwhatimwatching.com.
Need feedback on clarity, jitter, etc... |
and yes, I know I suck at playing the game.
|
Cool. Buffer took about 5 seconds and no skipping or buffering after that. Nice, steady stream but the quality is pretty low.
and how does a light pole flip over a bus? |
testing for load mostly. will adjust quality later. t'anks
|
What is the setup ?, your PS3 out put goes to a video capture card and you use MS Media Encoder software ?
|
Cycling through some action demos...and tweaking the quality as I go.
Reduced the bandwidth reqs to 245kbps. Check it again if you have the time. Thanks. |
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
once in awhile on GFY u get impressed...this is one of those times |
Quick buffer and quality was pretty good.

Trying it with Assasin's Creed - the morphing, dreamlike backgrounds should stress the encoder.
Let me know if it still maintains the quality. I'm almost done testing. Only a few settings left to tweak. |
ok. I believe I've tweaked as much as I can out of this machine. (It was a leftover that I had nothing else to use it for)
Specs: Intel Pentium 4 (2 GHz), 1.5 GB RAM, integrated graphics, 10/100 Nic, Windows 7, Windows media encoder 9, and a $20 tv tuner card. Kept the specs low on the encoding machine to see how far I could push the encoding process. With a dual or quad core, the live streaming quality would be much better with the same bandwidth. The distribution server is a customized one, as per my specialty, with a Gigabit port to the web running Win2k3. Today is Assassin's Creed day. |
