There's the usual sights IE Wawel, the old town, etc.
If he can rent a car, travel up to sopot near gdansk its got a nice beach on the sea but the weather is shit right now

don't worry once he get to Krakow, he will find a lot occasions for fun

commercial& free.

+ if he likes nature and mountains I recommend area 50-100 km of the south of Krakow

I think that you can't go wrong with anything, seriously...which place to choose ? that one with most beautiful girls ;p

center of Cracow and one its suburbs - Kazimierz has places for all tastes (musical estetical etc.)

I don't live there so I don't know city that much to recommend any specific place - anyway - I always had fun when I was there...

tip: partying alone isn't that fun as partying in group of friends, so maybe he should seek for some people speaking English/Turkish...on the streets, in clubs or hostel...

Well too bad me & Dan arent there with him! Well to start off the "Polish Privates" are amazing. Then you can scoot right over the boarder to Germany and head over to Bad Friedenwald for a great time in the "Haunted Villa" just ask around, there is one on every corner. Then if your feeling really fancy, head on down to "Berlin Town" and visit "Artimus Wellness Center For Relaxation" and grab a "Protein Shake" or leave one there.

Dont be scared to venture, there are amazing things right around every corner, just ask Syberian Huskey!

The best part of Poland is when you cross the bridge back into Germany. It reminds me of Tijuana only totally different, but the same.
